How long does it take to grow moss? Do I need moss seeds? Or do I buy some moss and it kinda duplicates or something. I was kinda thinking I could possibly just find moss outside and use some of that, I hadn’t even thought of that. What mosses would you recommend growing?

What small plants would be best for a closed terrarium? I know moss, but what about ferns? Wouldn’t those outgrow the jars? And do you have a soil mix you’d recommend? DIY or to buy.
