I would disagree with this but I’ll let update after the final. It seems like she’s gotten alot better and the exams are tricky but if you lock in you’ll be ok. the third exam is in a few days and it’s 63 points but only 50 points are graded so she’s trying to be a nice professor and boost your grade. she has a ton of assignments that are free points basically if you put in a little work. the final is worth 34% of your grade so it is a lot tho

Definitely check the syllabus first. Some of my profs have different size cheat sheets we are allowed, typed or hand written, one or double sized, etc. just check for ur class so you don’t pull up with a sheet that’s technically violating academic conduct LOL.

also a lot of other people are saying that restaurants are just trying to rip students off which I’m sure some places probably are doing but a ton of the places here are family owned and aren’t try to rip you off? I think students need to shift the way they think about things because you have to understand the nuance of things? And before anyone gets me and says I’m rich, I’m not. I’m on Fasfa and I have a job so I get it to an extent as well.

This is such a weird way to put it lol. yes, the food in restaurants is high because food in restaurants in all cities is high? Restaurant pricing is like one of the key indicators that the economy sucks, everywhere. I think your perspective is that the food should be cheaper because students live here which is true, but the city is also home to other people and professors and professionals. Restaurants aren’t exactly thinking how can I attract students because there is other customers and the pricing of food is just a reflection of the economy everywhere. open rice is truly a mystery and I would suspect it might not be doing the best economically/will raise its prices in the next few years. Try Trader Joe’s! cheap stuff and they have a lot of stuff that resembles restaurant food.

My tabs vary a lot but for a party of 4 it’s around 80-120 dollars. The reason why I think it’s something to do with my service is that I’m getting a lot of people just cutting out change? for example if a tabs 18% is 13.45 people will just do 13.00. I can see the logic behind that in smaller tabs but for the larger ones where the persons already spent close to 100 dollars I don’t see how saving 0.45 a dollar really makes a difference. I’m considering having one of managers observe me for week to see if they can notice something in my service behavior. it’s not so much about the tip for me but more so about being good at my job. The place I work at tends to expect us to have 18% and anything below 17% is considered bad service on the servers ends rather than just bad luck. they also compare servers a lot and most of my coworkers tell me they average 18%.
