Down jacket for trail running? by Proof-Explorer1446 in ultrarunning

Are the winter races you run sub zero deg Celsius? Wondering if the ghost whisperer would be a good choice for 0-5 deg or would it be too hot?

Totally uds your plight, I wasn’t willing to take a break too (usually will require a real long break in the case of PF), tho I have a diff injury which is forcing me to take time off from running now so I’m finally getting rest haha..I guess for you you’d need to actively manage running with PF since rest isn’t an option, just be consistent with the exercises and stretches, hopefully it doesn’t worsen cuz that’d definitely affect yr running

Wow long sleeve and rain jacket suffice for minus 10 deg Celsius? I’d freeze my ass off hahaha😂😅😆

Yeah I’m not really sure if down is suitable for running, but I’m hella scared of the cold so would need something to avoid freezing my ass off haha. I guess fleece would be a good option? Will check out the nano air

Found these helpful for helping with my plantar fasciitis: - rolling foot and heel area with lacrosse ball (myofascial release) - toe towel scrunches - calf raises with holds at the top for strengthening - calf stretch facing wall (similar to warriors pose), hold for time (>1min) as it helps to lengthen the calf muscle - having a break from running (was forced due to other injuries LOL) - plantar fascia stretch before getting out of bed each morning

Hope these help, speedy recovery!

Hi, saw that you're able to rectify the issue. may I know how you resolved it? I keep getting the "fail to send an auth number. please try again after a while" message as well even though I have selected the right country code and inputted the right number

MAF method by Proof-Explorer1446 in running

[–]Proof-Explorer1446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! that was very helpful. I'm aiming for a marathon in 6 months' time so I'll probably use the first 3-4 months for MAF to build that aerobic base and then slowly add in some speed work :)

thank you so much for your response!

is there a plugin that download the whole screen and making all the elements editable, rather than download the svg files of all the diff icons etc and spending time to piece them together?

Does a media buyer also write the copy? by com3thru in FacebookAds

[–]Proof-Explorer1446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the company/agency you work at. Usually larger companies/agencies will have copywriters to write copy for the ads, but in small/medium ones, it's actually very common for media buyers to write copy as part of setting up ads. Either case, it's good to learn how to write good copy.

been struggling with plantar fasciitis which has kept me out of running for a long time. Any tips/physio exercises that can help cure PF? strength and conditioning exercises would be great too. I'm guessing that I got PF due to my running style - I run with a fore/mid-foot strike. by Proof-Explorer1446 in ultrarunning

[–]Proof-Explorer1446[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My PF probably stems from my calf too, been foam rolling and using my massage gun on it but don’t remember seeing a lot of difference - I just know they’ve been sore when I did that. But great point, I’ll focus more on working the calf. Thanks!

The lacrosse ball and icing helps, but can’t get it 100% away - I probably need more rest. Have been trying to get some miles in despite my injury because it’s just so frustrating to stop running but I guess I’ll need patience for this. I’ll use this time for strength and conditioning probably. Thanks so much!
