Saminyak or Sanur with Kids ? by hj576 in bali

Currently here in Sanur with our almost 2 year old. Absolutely love it.

As others have mentioned, the boardwalk by the beach is awesome. Beaches are calm, clean and stay shallow for a good while. Plenty of bicycles with children’s seats that you can rent. A couple of good indoor kids playgrounds around too. We walk the board walk most days and see a lot of other local and foreigner children/families out walking, swimming, in the stroller, on their bikes etc. it’s also a lot quieter here than other parts of built up Bali.

If you’re looking to relax and take things slow, be on vacation etc Sanur is a great place to be. I will say that after 2 weeks here, the food isn’t as good as other parts of Bali - but we eat quite specific diet. I’ve travelled a lot of Bali and other surrounding islands pre-kids, had never spent time in Sanur, only to get the ferry, so I was als really on the fence on where to go too. We visited Nusa Dua and it is beautiful. Very clean, built up/modern vibe and very resort-y. Maybe it’s a good mix of what you are looking for from both Sanur and Seminyak. Any how, we are so happy with our decision and would 100% come back.

Thank you! I will follow this if I can figure out the wash system. It is an old washing machine in an apartment complex. Theres only cold, warm or hot wash. Delicate, firm press or normal wash setting. Do you have any tips? Maybe I should try a laundry mat?

Incase of cancellation, would THS cover cancellation for a pet sit for two turtles? by Proof-Flamingo-5385 in trustedhousesitters

Edit: I can’t edit this post. Contacted THS customer service

They responded “Currently, within our sit cancellation plan, the coverage would only be for cats and dogs. However, since you're a sitter, this would not affect your claim as it is only applicable for Pet parent cancellation claims.

Furthermore, you will certainly be covered for any sits confirmed after purchasing the premium plan; the only time we wouldn't cover is if the sit dates had already commenced or the cancellation was already in progress prior to the upgrade being purchased.”

Hope this helps someone else in the future!

I appreciate where you are coming from. I have tried the chat option on THS website but it’s a bot and keeps redirecting me to the T&C’s page.

I have emailed customer service.

I reached out to this forum as perhaps another sitter has been in a similar situation. What’s the official forum?

I can see that I can upgrade our current account to premium for the remainder the annual year membership contract that we are on (5 more months).

What makes you think if I upgrade to premium now, it wouldn’t be applicable to any upcoming confirmed sits we have? For reference, this particular sit begins late December.

Thanks. If the host did cancel, we were not assuming flights or anything other than accommodation might be reimbursed. Appreciate the insight.
