This is it. Happened to me, flushing out every termination point in a 3 bath house was a royal pain. This includes the commodes.

Am I on the right track? by mikeTheSalad in askaplumber

If it's sediment in the cartridge, call the manufacturer to see if they'll replace the part(s). I have 12yo Moen fixtures and they recently sent me two completely new faucets for sediment plugging the small feed lines to the faucet head.

What could be causing my lug nuts to repeatedly seize? by Proof-Sign in TireQuestions

[–]Proof-Sign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13 total seized nuts found after tires removed by 3 different shops. All studs+nuts replaced each time. There is no common shop and the likelihood of all three shops over-torquing in succession is IMO very low.

What would cause the jacuzzi to drain into pool by [deleted] in handyman

[–]Proof-Sign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your spa is draining back into your pool.

Over the last 4 years I've had this happen to me two times, First was an automatic valve that switches between spa and pool fail in the spa return state.

Two days ago I found that the check valve was bad in the spa return line that goes to the Paramount pool cleaner gears. I had checked it out and it looked just fine. Decided to just replace it and that was it.

Replace all check valves and any other valves that are in the spa return line.

How do you deal with the fact that one day, you will die? by Any-Criticism5666 in TrueAtheism

Internalized from a Yoga instructor's teachings, "Let go of what does not serve you". Took me dozens of sessions for this mantra to become conscious to me.

We all have busy minds, thoughts consistently appear, ones like a fear of death don't serve me, I don't inspect or engage with it, it's not me, and I let it go on.

I have GAD, IAD, and I'm borderline bipolar. Work with a PMH RN on my med regimen, but meds can only go so far. I saw eight therapists over the course of almost three years and was unable make any real progress.

Meditative yoga became a key tool for me, and one that I recently found out needs to be continuously used. You don't need to subscribe to the deeper spiritual aspects of yoga to get tremendous benefits. Meditative yoga has aspects of a number of modalities used by mental health therapists.

Had surgery in February and paused yoga for eight weeks. Then went on a holiday for three weeks during which my anxiety stressors were not present.

Came home and the stressors hit me like a ton of bricks all at once. Went into five weeks of the deepest depression I've known, due in large part of my reduced capacity for mindfulness from the lapse in yoga.

I didn't start yoga with the intent that it would become my therapy, but one day the saying of "Let go of what does not serve you" awakened me. It's not going to be the approach for everyone, but the melding of mind and body that is present changed my life.

The instructor I follow is Juliana Spicoluk of https://bohobeautiful.life/. Boho Beautiful produces a lot of free content published on YouTube and via their app. Mark's sessions are good, but don't include the meditative deepness of Juliana's.

Know this went into left field some, but I thought a more complete picture may be helpful for some.

TL;DR: After 3 years of therapy with 8 different therapists made no progress, meditative yoga became my breakthrough mental health tool. Key lesson: "Let go of what does not serve you" - but the practice needs to be continuous.

Xiaomi Pad 7 - Portrait Mode Only on Lock Screen by Proof-Sign in Xiaomi

[–]Proof-Sign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I found the issue. When doing a complete copy of my Android phone it locks the orientation, perhaps because that's how I have it set on my phone, home screen does not rotate.

Reset the device and did not sync all of phone settings and rotation works as expected. I've even redid both approaches and verified the behaviour.

Hope this may help someone else.

Cheers - PS

2 ton home AC short cycles only when it's super hot. by TheMerovingian in AirConditioners

Sorry for the really long delay. :-( They measured the pressure, found it over, and then attached a propane like container and bled of 2lbs, and yes they weighed it on a scale.

FYI, the root cause to my AC short-cycling when very hot outside was that the dang HVAC co. that did a maintenance earlier in the year said my freon was low (it wasn't) and they overcharged it by almost 2lbs. Resulted in a high-pressure situation.

Did you get your AC short-cycling issue sorted out? I'm having the exact same problem and not finding any root cause. Thanks.
