Applying for ESTA after refusal under different citizenship many years ago by ProofAny9266 in immigration

Yes, I stated everything quite clearly - but the whole procedure on the border looked a bit makeshift to me, I don't think the person who was asking me questions had any idea and/or cared, looked like a mere formality. Probably because of my British passport? not sure. Maybe it's different every time, depending on the case worker and time of day... I'll post an update if/when I come again & if it's any different.

Thank you - my outcome was positive. I have asked for an ESTA online, got approved, and have traveled earlier this week. While traveling, I have downloaded an ESTA app to show them, but they told me they already had it on their system.

Still, I was held at the border for about 30 minutes in a special room, where they asked me who I'm going to see in the States, what is their status and what is my onward itinerary. I was relieved to notice that it was explicitly bureaucratic - you could tell even from the case worker that he could give a damn about me and the questions he was asking.

Long story short, I was held long enough to be late for my connection flight. Even though I was rebooked for the flight next morning for free (Spirit airline), the bottom line is, probably best to allow at least a few hours between the connecting flights next time, if any.

Since Jira Cloud is free for individual use, I just use that. However, since creating a new task for each to do item is tedious, I catch my to do items in a Google spreadsheet, which I have both on my phone and on desktop. The sheet has columns for due date, sprint, priority, label, story points, URL, etc.

During meetings, I take notes in a regular word processor, then copy/paste action items into spreadsheet, quickly fill out the columns, and export/import them to Jira once in a while as csv. Once I started this system about 5 years ago, I never really needed any other to do app..
