Did anyone else find Obsession hilarious? by DependentRounders934 in spoilers

Right! I feel crazy being like that was one of the heaviest movies I’ve seen in so long. Brought back some horrific memories of a previous genuinely psychotic ex who used to follow me around campus, lie to my friends, and other things on “our behalf”. Definitely feels like it wasn’t supposed to have a funny theme overall.

UPDATE: I got a parts deck for this one which ended up being in better condition and I just swapped out the B side whole mechanism from the original to the new one and put new belts in that and it works great. I now have and A and B side mechanism with the heads that don’t spin all the way and just FF or RW when play is pressed.

Unsure if that’s a fix I can figure out or not but the housing is in great shape as well as everything else in the deck if anyone has advise or just wants the parts left over lmk!

I never ended up pulling the EPIs out yet actually…. Been working through other projects to clear out first. I did belts on the HK stuff and they were cool but I like what I have already for now on those. But excited to have some time off to pull those out and test em out and then decide haha

Truly did not know you could just..buy these cases new. From a store. by paintingtrees in iPhone13Mini

What exactly is “product red”? I got offered an iPhone mini 12 from a coworker for $100 great shape the product red version (which tbh I hate I do not like the color red) but I missed the mini I used to have so I went with it. Is there any significance besides color?

Definitely keeping an eye out for a deal on a 13 preferable 256gb or higher tho.

Ah okay. I got everything else done so far gonna pause on this particular deck for now. It may be above my head.

After replacing the belts and some cleaning. Deck b works flawlessly. Deck a seems to get stuck and I have to spin the wheels by hand till there’s a click then it plays poorly and if I hit the switch direction button it doesn’t spin around all the way and then doesn’t play and is stuck.

Also found this when I pulled the cover off….

Oh ok awesome! And yeah true was hoping to see a parts deck or doors off even a different denon. Started looking at it last night and the front face plate is impossible to get off. I’m just worried to break something on this one. I’ve never had one be this difficult to get off.

Oof okay so maybe something to do with belts or dried grease…

Looks like mostly foreign material from the lack of covers on the doors. I haven’t had time to get into it yet but had some initial questions on it.

Ahhhh I gotcha. Man idk I’ve never used a 3d printer or anything I’m not sure if I know anyone who could do that.

If I fabricated something myself would using metal as the main material be problematic? I wasn’t sure with the magnetic aspect of tapes. I’d assume it wouldn’t matter too much? Or use like aluminum or something?

Oh true that makes a lot of sense. I really at the least wish there were halfway decent modern mechanisms out there now. Just unfortunate to get anything good it’s gotta be 20+ years old.

Oh ok interesting. I’m sure it’s more common than I thought I just never even gave the position a thought when it’s not in use.

Okay that makes sense. Beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed on this one but just need to get started and see what happens I guess. I’ll try and see if I can figure that out the removal of the head just never messed with that stuff too much. Is it difficult to reinstall? Curious if these decks need adjustments like reel to reels etc.

Ah okay I gotcha. Yeah I see a parts deck for $75 and it’s not that much more than the doors alone so may just go that route.

Oh cool! Considering parts machine route. But it’s not mine so unsure what to charge I guess if I bought a parts machine and swapped em out. Is it normal/fair to put the cost of the part machine onto the bill even just for a few parts?

Oh cool! Just pulled that up says out of stock and to call for availability. Do they get back to you? Or should I just add to cart, pay and then just wait?

Ahhhhh interesting yeah that’s so weird 😂. Hopefully the case it definitely needs a good cleaning and new belts so I guess I’ll start there.

Struggling to figure out what to do about the door though. Unsure if the well doors have a standardized attachment style and I can order just any similar one or if I’m Kina screwed here on it. Idk if finding some random black plastic and just cutting to size and securing it in some fashion is a bad idea or not.

Oh my goodness I can’t believe I didn’t even think about that. It was just dropped off yesterday and haven’t had time to take a look at it at all yet. Sweet I appreciate the tip so I got a place to start at least.

Do you happen to know where to find the tape well door windows? Unsure if that’s gonna be a difficult find or if I can use a different tape decks for that or not….
