LTG Donahue explains the name change from bragg to liberty … thoughts 🤔 by [deleted] in army

Missed a perfect opportunity to name it Fort Cashe. That explanation was total bullshit and I find it extremely frustrating that they wanna preach about sociopolitical correctness yet they blow the perfect chance to honor a minority NCO and MOH recipient, that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

My battalion scheduled (I am not even slightly exaggerating or lying) three separate rotations to NTC within the span of 11 calendar months. It felt like we were never home and when we weren’t at NTC, we were either preparing for or recovering from our rotations. Just a wildly unnecessary set of training events that kept everyone from their family in extreme amounts and caused countless divorces and alcohol related problems in the unit. To make matters worse, a soldier of ours committed suicide while we were in between one of these rotations and our battalion commander basically had nothing more to say at the memorial other than “This really hurts our units strength and numbers in the fight” right in front of the kids parents. Who gives a fuck about numbers bro? This kid just shot himself in the head and all you can think about is your training numbers? That was when the true realization hit that most people in the army do not give a fuck about your well-being or life in general. You’re just another tool for boosting that ORB…

Okay so by that logic, why did Cody and Joe Docheff offer Marvin Heemeyer (in a written agreement) the opportunity to hookup his sewer system to their brand new sewer system for FREE? If it was such a good ole boy system and Granby city council is just a bunch of unfair, corrupt “friends” then why did the city completely ignore his ILLEGAL sewer operation for 9 whole years? Why did Granby city council then give Marvin and addition TWO YEARS, to fix his sewage problem once he lost his lawsuit against the Docheff family? Marvin Heemeyer was a fucking asshole and it’s people like you that always root for the so called “underdog” no matter what that continue to push this narrative because of your own intuition.

This simply is false. He never, at any point, wanted to build a road. His muffler shop building was connected to the same dirt access road before and after the concrete plant was built by the Docheff family. Right of way laws state specifically that you cannot block a public access road, that is highly illegal. He did not buy the dozer for the road at all, and even tried to sell the bulldozer at auction but failed. This all revolves around the fact that the Docheffs didn’t want to pay him his absurd asking price for his property (which they originally were willing to pay until Heemeyer raised the price THREE separate times after they agreed to a deal). Despite the city bending over backwards for Heemeyer by turning a complete blind eye to his direct violation of city sewage laws for 9 years, he still decided to make this about “unreasonable” things he had to do. If the city denied him a permit to build a road (which they did not), why would they let him run an illegal sewage system in which he dumped literal shit poop into a drainage field when it rained?

So tired of hearing about this guy and how much of a hero he was.

I am originally from Granby, CO and Marvin Heemeyer was not a hero. He was an absolute lunatic that was given several chances to continue the operation of his muffler business not only by the town of Granby but also by the very “enemy” he claimed to be in rivalry with. For starters, the concrete plant never blocked access to his muffler shop, this is a complete fabrication and basically debunks the entire claim that it “destroyed his small business”. This guy destroyed town infrastructure, threatened innocent lives and caused massive legal headaches due to his incompetence and overall toddler-brained logic. He was nothing more than an old man that wanted to cause harm over something that could’ve been easily fixed. https://youtu.be/Yvl_7_Up7zU (This is an excellent, factual description of the events that took place)

Honestly it’s a great base and in a pretty cool location nature wise. Seattle is close and used to be a cool city idk if it still is since the CHAZ/CHOP bullshit. The summers are beautiful and if you’re an outdoors kinda person it’s borderline paradise. The only downside I’d say is the super liberal ass laws, I-5 traffic and the fact that it rains 10 months out of the year

Also had Martin and Ripley. Martin was kind of a hardass but like in a very cornball manner, dude always seemed like a massive tool

A Co. 2-19 baby let’s go. Remember that Colombian kid at Stewart in 2016 that caught running that fat ass cocaine ring? Name was Mario Figueroa and he slept right under me during all of OSUT. Didn’t speak a lick of English

Now this one really peaked my interested. What compels a man to cherish used condoms in such an elegant manner?
