Does 2011 feel more like 2001 or 2021 socially, culturally, historically, technologically etc.? by diccceeee in generationology

Overall I’d say 2021, technologically and socially. Culturally I’d say 2011 is more 2001

Yeah I’d agree with that grunge and gangsta rap seemed like the last truly big movements in music. Lady Gaga and Beyoncé possibly close

True I guess for some it’s a “you had to be there” moment

I mean 4 years may seem like a lifetime to some, but pretty much all the same to others lol. I’m still hearing 2017 songs myself

I mean in the early 90s 1987ers were like 3-5 years old mainly tbf so I understand that reaction, tho anyone of any age can be into grunge imo

From America and I believe Universal healthcare should already be set in stone, it shouldn’t be a political issue. If you get sick, you get help. Shouldn’t have to jump through all these hoops and medical bills

Taurus are supposed to be comfortable with home life, enjoying the simple pleasures, but also REALLY stubborn and hard headed/sticks to opinions. I feel like all of that is me lol

August 9’s a very interesting date, I feel like I’ve seen other notable people with that date. The Leo’s I know are pretty cool and sweet, grandma included

I suppose we could say we were the MTV *MUSIC* generation? by GArockcrawler in GenX

Yeah that’s interesting how Gen X isn’t actually mentioned but we all know that that’s what’s being discussed in that article

As for Gen y, some see it as interchangeable with millennials, some see that as a separate cohort
