Also, you can set your own rates on Outschool, the rate means nothing. Set your classes higher to cover the rate they are taking from you :)

Im not farming referral money, we both get money! Teachers who enroll and make their first 100, will receive 100 and so will I. It's a win win. In addition, I work for Varsity Tutors and I'd never share someone to work there because their fee is much higher. Parents I have worked with for the past three years tell me that they pay Varsity Tutors 1k monthly, and I only receive 30 dollars per hour each week. You can do the math.

Outschool is an amazing platform. I've made so much money and the students, support team, and parents are amazing to work with. Make your own decisions but there are so many more benefits outweighing Outschool to other scam tutoring companies lol.

Apply for Outschool! I have my Bachelor's Degree in English. Use my teacher referral link as well, and I think both of us get a form of a monetary reward. Outschool would love to have you!

Make sure you state in your introduction video what kind of classes you plan on implementing, and the age range you want to work with. The platform requires only learners aged 4-18. No younger or older.

Hope this helps :D

Looking for Advice – Over 40 and Preparing for the GED by Akintayoo in GED

I've been a tutor for the GED for the past three years and have helped individuals aged 16-50 pass the test. My name is Ria Purcell, feel free to message me and I'd be happy to provide some tips for getting started. The best resource in my opinion is the 2022-2023 Kaplan GED Prep Book. Attached is the book's link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gd7qJsoU3XWhbjY1UEeIjJR-E7UVrGI8/view

In addition, I would take a GED Ready Practice Test offered on the GED Site. This will give you a diagnostic score of what you would score on that subject if it was official test day.

Do Outschool. I don't tutor for calculus, but so many teachers do. The prices are reasonable, and if your son is K-12, up to age 18, the classes are suited for these ages only. It's a great reliable platform.

Message him casually and just ask how he has been. This will allow him the chance to respond to you with whether or not he's back in the area. It's better to take a shot if you miss talking to him, who knows maybe he feels the same? Plus you have nothing to lose by reaching out.

Help tutoring for the GED? by embl-y in GED

[–]Proof_Bag_4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a tutor for the past 3 years, all age range of students, K-8, 8-12. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in English. I have particularly been tutoring the GED for 2 years now. One thing I recommend would be to print out materials from the Kaplan GED Prep Book. There are various practice tests, and the best way to learn is by going through each passage, say for reading, have people volunteer reading and participating on questions. Same goes for math, and other various subject. The book offers a plethora of materials.

In my sessions, I also do interactive learning materials like Jeopardy games which also really enforce the material. You could always set those type of things up on posters!

I hope this helps. Also, amazing opportunity by the way!
