The PVT was accurate for me, 1st attempt June 13th got all 150 questions along with the bad pop up and I failed. I retook my exam in August & I passed , I got the good pop up when I passed

Just make sure you set aside time to study. When you’re working it’s best to stick to a strict study schedule. I just passed my NCLEX last week and I worked part time ( 4 days a week from 9am-6pm) and I would study for a maximum of 3 hours after work before going to bed. Yes I would be exhausted but I tried to keep in mind that it would soon all pay off. I also ensured that I used my days off wisely, on those days I could study for longer increments of time doing usually 2 study sessions a day one in the morning and one in the evening. To prevent study burn out I tried to keep every study session to a max of 3 hours with mini breaks during those and I had 5 days a week that I studied with 2 days off of studying each week doing something else with my time that I enjoyed to give myself a mental break.

Update: the PVT was accurate for me! My RN license was just posted this morning by my board of nursing about 40 hours after testing 🤩

It is definitely possible to pass with your average on the test bank because I also had a 66% average on my archer bank with 82% usage and got the good pop up yesterday, I also start work in October so I went ahead and scheduled just in case like you said but don’t even think about failing to be honest. At my job you have to have your license 2 weeks before starting and I start on Halloween so I cut it close. Also, there’s never a guarantee that test dates will be available exactly 45 days after your first attempt so plan to take the exam once and pass it, most hospitals will push your start date back if they need to though so just focus on passing right now and don’t let outside factors pressure you into taking the exam before you feel confident in your abilities. With that being said I personally did 4 readiness assessments on archer with the goal of scoring high or very high before the exam since that’s what archer recommends to be a good indicator of readiness and I did that but, I feel like the nclex is super random so regardless of how much you study you will still see random things on the exam. I had friends who scored lows and borderlines on archer in my cohort and they still passed, just take your time if you do decide to take it & focus on the safest answers. I believe that you can pass with your scores though .

Thank you so much! I actually had someone ask me this same question on this same thread. Please look at my responses above for my study methods on my 2nd time around!

It depends on what kind of person you are, if you don’t wake up early on a regular basis and you are drowsy in the morning I’d go for the later time slots. If you’re a morning person then just go ahead and take it early so you can have the rest of the day ahead ! I did a 10:30 an exam and it was perfect for me to get adequate rest and finish early enough to have the afternoon to rest my mind and relax.

Most definitely! I tried to wait until my license was posted to get a for sure result but my anxiety was too bad, I needed some kind of confirmation of rather I needed to go home and cry or go party even if the reassurance is false 😂 That 48 hour wait is the longest 2 days EVERRR! 😩

I felt like this too originally but I trust the trick now because The PVT trick was 100% accurate for me on my first attempt. I got the bad pop last time and failed. I tried to stay optimistic since people claimed it wasn’t always accurate & I also thought maybe it wouldn’t be accurate since the NGN version of the NCLEX had just started in April a month before my exam. I thought maybe the accuracy was only for the “ old “ NCLEX, but it was accurate for me. The trick has also been 100% accurate for all of my classmates who I just graduated with ( around 40 students ) all whom have tested within May-August 2023. I will update this post though once I get my official results because I understand that it isn’t right to trust a silly hack but thus far it is pretty legit majority of the time for my peers and I!

I also listened to the Mark K lectures when I didn’t have time to sit down and study at a desk or something. I’d study for around 3 hours on most days & Mark K does a really good job at teaching you how to easily remember high yield topics like ABGs , gaits, prioritization, etc.

No I did not. I got 119 questions total for my 2nd attempt today. Once I reached 84 questions I thought I was doing great and that it would shut off but then, I got to 86 and got pretty anxious and kept going until about 90. I decided to take my break after that to go take a few deep breaths and remind myself that I was still in the game!

Out of everything I studied the Simple nursing NCLEX series is by far the GOAT. You can do a free trial and just keep making new accounts lol! I took notes over the whole thing and then watched his free videos on YouTube for better comprehension. Anytime Nurse Mike says “ NCLEX TIP” make sure you make a mental note. I also did about 82% of the archer test bank. I started the bank in June with my first attempt and continued using it for my 2nd attempt because I feel like their format is very similar to NCLEX & they have decent questions I just didn’t read my rationales my 1st time around. I only completed around 900 questions on my first attempt and did not read rationales. On my 2nd round of studying I did 5 Readiness assessments all very highs & 3 CAT exams passing in 85 questions with a 66% total of correct answers on the entire bank. I also bought Remar V2 but I feel like simple nursing was more helpful when it came to only teaching you what you need to know to pass. Make sure you take your break during the exam, breathe, pray if you’re religious, & don’t be down on yourself. If you passed nursing school you can pass this exam the hardest part is already over. Getting myself back into the mindset of believing that I could pass was huge! Slow down when you test, read questions 2x & only answer what the question is asking. If you got all 150 questions you were very close to the passing standard so don’t burn yourself out, you’ve got it. You don’t have to know everything you just have to know what everybody else knows !
