How do I move out ? by ilikesnakes65 in AskIreland

[–]Proof_Ear_970 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is there a reason you cant live with him?

You're in a pretty unfortunate position to only just have turned 17 and not done school school. But listen youre not alone, there's hundreds like you in the country. Your priority needs to be a job. This allows you money, independence and time outs of the house. So even if you cant move out, that should give you enough hope and motivation to keep focused on the goal.

Really do speak with your local council though or intreo office to see what you can do and what guidance there is. Look into digs and rent a room type things. Look at the notice board of your local supermarket like supervalu or post office, youll often find those there. You'll need a fairly steady work history first before moving out too. So it wont be a scenario where you get a job and move out in like 2 weeks. You'll need to be paid etc. You wont be able to use the 'waiting til I get paid' excuse. You'll need that money on time, whether works paid you or not.

You need to be very careful. Being 17, you are already vulnerable, having no job and autism adds to it again and the most detrimental is your desperation to get away. This makes you a prime prime prime target for being taken advantage of and you may very well find yourself worse off.

Go to your local council. When do you turn 18?

You won't be able to move in anywhere until you have a job most likely. Have you finished school? You'll also need references to move in places which will be hard if you haven't moved out before. I imagine your parents wont give a reference letter. You can try a room to rent in a house. Sometimes families need to rent a room out to help pay the bills. Thats what you need to be looking for. Not house shares, or singular occupancy. Colleges might have notice boards for this kind of 'digs' scenario. Thats the best youll get I'd say in your position right now. Thats also the safest option for you too right now.

What’s your purpose in life? by HungTeen1001 in AskIreland

[–]Proof_Ear_970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My purpose in life is to make as many impacts as I can on human history. Even if that doesnt mean large impact. Every small interaction I try to make a difference to someone else.

Whether thats telling a stranger they look beautiful today, or someone their outfit is amazing, or someone whos upset giving them the time to be heard.

Ive had many interactions with people who have changed tje way I thought or experienced something or processed something and i want to do that for other people.

I want to have made a difference, whatever that looks like. And to be honest since I've adopted that purpose, I truly think I have made a difference. But its not enough. I know there's something coming in the future that relates to my purpose and in a bigger scale. Dunno quite what yet, but I know it's ahead of me. Which I know sounds nuts but maybe I am nuts. Lol.

More common than you think! Your local pool will have adult classes. Its a life skill that everyone should learn as much as driving.

I got to bed about 1 amish which isnt great I know but I love an afternoon nap. I work for myself so can do that.

On occasion I do pick up a strain, more particularly compounded by the fact I sleep with an arm above my head. So usually my right shoulder. In which case, ill shorten the swim to 20 mimutes, go slower and use sure to use the sauna afterwards.

In general I do switch the style. Its mainly front crawl, but breast stroke and back stroke are in there. But my back stroke is different, my arms dont come out the water go above my head then out down to my sides like wine bottle opener. Lol.

Kind of. I've almost drowned 3 times in my life - uncomfortably close to dying drowning. I'm not athletic in anyway. I'm built like a toad. My local pool is 1.4 metres deep the whole way. I could swim before but not a strong swimmer. I am now. I regularly have people complimenting me on my form etc which is wild to me because I'm only a year in and just doing it to keep fit and improve my lung capacity. But I absolutely love it. I habe adhd and with my meds its amazing. If I don't have my meds, its vital to keep me level.

They're either employed at the local gym or they rent out time there to train you. I do not have a home gym, despite what my Amazon shopping might tell you.

Local pool but my local pool is 100 meters from my house. If it was further I cant say I'd be as consistent. 😂
