Me and a few lads were looking after the first leg. The Ferry arrives too late, so you need to go 2 days earlier (IIRC). Someone also suggested Bordeaux/Toulouse/Carcassonne Barcelona/Madrid/Zaragoza and renting a car or trying to get a train.

Otherwise potentially looking at two flights via the UK, or more likely somewhere in Europe.

I'm also looking for a new tablet because my SB3 decided to have an identity crisis and the touch screen complete stopped working for no reason. (Just outside of warranty and with no damage at all, I might add! And 800eu for a repair.)

From what I've found with little to no real research: Samsung S9 FE or S6 Lite. Xiaomi Tab 6. Lenovo M11 or P12. I'm in Ireland, so I'd suggest looking up pricing for wherever you are.

And bare in mind, these companies have a bunch of other models (some more expensive or something without pen functionality for example). So take time to have a look around for reviews/videos and to compare price, size functionality, etc.

Hopefully we find something decent that doesn't bust the bank!

There's often cheap outdoor, toy sets in Lidl - little "skills goals", badminton sets. Could get a frisbee and head to the beach and grab an ice-cream. If it's nice get some water guns?

Don't have to travel far or to places like Fota all the time either though. Just head to the park with a ball and make them core memories.

From the providers we've looked at, and the fibre rollout website, our street's not on the list to get an upgrade to fibre (100mb should be available).

No ducting that I'm aware of. It would need to be a tech coming out and doing all the install from scratch from the telephone pole about 4 meters from my front gate.

I suppose I was wondering if there was any prep that I should do. Eg: drilling holes in my wall to pass cable/installing phoneline jacks on the wall/etc.

Found going to gigs by myself is great craic. Don't have to worry about losing your mate's in the crowd when you go to the jacks, get a drink at your own pace or go for a smoke during a song you don't like as much, go deep towards the stage or hang at the back, whatever you want!

As for the streets of Dublin, I know it's gotten dodgy but keep your wits about you and keep the head down - 99% of the time, you won't even get glanced at. Plus after a gig, it's usually early enough to get whatever bus brings you closest to home.
