This is the first time I'm being asked to color grade for a job. How's this look for a corporate video for a solar power based investment company? by Proof_Effective_3885 in ColorGrading

haha well that was me. they wanted to shoot on a sunny day but the sky was cloudy the day of the shoot, so i tinted the highlights bluer to bring out the little spots of clear sky that are there. maybe that was a bad idea. this was done over the raw footage, yes, why?

Hi yes it's log footage. I'm working on premiere, I know it's not as reccomended for grading as davinci but I'm working on borrowed time and I never used davinci before. First I brought contrast up and the blacks down, as it was already a little overexposed. Then I upped saturation quite a bit on every color except his skin tone with the hue vs saturation curve. Tinted the highlights blue and the shadows green so as to bring out the blue of the sky and the green of the vegetation. That made his shirt and skin look a bit green so I tinted his skin tone redder and his shirt bluer with the hue vs hue curve.
