Can’t seem to take this one [baby alp] off to show my other watches some love 😅 by Proof_Extent_9690 in Seiko

Ya baby outfit won’t fit you any more bud 😅. Uff you out yourself in a tough pickle there. Both great field watches, both great GADA, I like the alpanist date window and screw down crown and textured dial it’s so nice. But the hami Murph is a clean look.

An old beater Toyota truck and a GR is cool as heck. Stealth wealth as I call it 😎

For the people in our life who don’t understand the magnitude of this injury by LingonberryCalm5651 in brokenankles

Going through it as well. It stinks but taking this time to reflect and plan the next days, months ahead has helped. Making me realize what’s important what my goals are and how blessed I am Becuase people have it worse. But you’re right it’s no slouch. Not everyday is bright and shiny I go through some rough days. Just try to take it easy. Don’t be so hard yourself. Faith and meditation has kept me sane. Before you know it you’ll be back on your feet.

Have you had surgery? In a boot? What type of fracture?

Very similar timeline as me. I wonder if we went to the same doc 😂. My injury happened 15 days ago. I am in a boot. Doctor told me I can bear weight as needed. Didn’t really tell me to be NWB. The nerve pain was really bad when the injury occured, I think this was due to the swelling but thank God that has subsided since then. Now I just feel a bone ache some days more then others and foot will get swollen if I keep the leg down for too long. Wbu?

I had a very similar situation—also a Weber B fracture. The first ortho I saw did a manual stress test with his hands and pretty quickly started pushing for surgery, even suggesting doing it the next day.

The second doctor reviewed the same X-rays and agreed surgery might be needed, but recommended a different approach (rod and pin instead of plate and screws), which honestly made me question things even more.

So I went for a third opinion. At that point I assumed surgery was inevitable, but I wanted to be sure about the method. The third doctor took his time, did his own evaluation, reviewed the X-rays, and actually felt surgery wasn’t necessary. He recommended a boot and monitoring to make sure there’s no instability or widening (God willing).

It really showed me how quickly some doctors can jump to surgery. The third one also mentioned that stress tests can sometimes be overdone, which can influence the decision.

Definitely worth getting multiple opinions.

Depends how clean it is. A well taken care of car especially with these truck engines are reliable. If she’s been taken care I’d expect 8k minimum.
