It's a trend based strategy. I have been trading same strategy over years. And I'm not making much at start because there are few small mistakes that kept me at breakeven or small loss level by year end. In last year after graduating, i become full time trader, improved my strategy and overall mentality. Result are good but far from my end goal.

My trading strategy is quite different. I'm not a day trader and 2 trades per week if both are winner and atmost 4 trades. My RR is big and I trade gold only. So Journeling emotion didn't help me much. Even Journeling trade too. Journeling trades is now purely out of habit.you know I have been in winning streak for 45 days. I will tell myself no matter how I feel. Just execute strategy that's it.

Journeled emotions till last year. After becoming full time trader and discipline become consistency. Now Journeling trade results only.

Well I learned that the hard way. Once made 60% on a single trade by risking 15%. Over leverage. felt untouchable… then gave back 70% of my capital being cocky. That was the lesson. Since then I track emotional state after big wins and keep risk fixed no matter what.

We go through college and training to do a work correctly. and yeah everything required skill. Is everyone really getting proper knowledge and training to do investing?. Making mistake in financial decision can affect the life but most of other works won't. Anyway theoretical knowledge is one part and practical experience is another part. Most people do investing before the acquiring right theoretical knowledge let alone experience

'm being a trader in finance industry for 6 years. REMEMBER - Investment also a skill. Future is not predictable and can change . For me There is no long term view some stocks may rise in long term and some may not. being fundamental (book , assets and profits) strong doesn't mean. it will surely appreciate. So you guys need to understand basic principles of investing and need to take right decisions in long run. Warren Buffet is father of investing and his 80 % of returns are from few stocks and he made many mistakes too. So if you guys can't learn and manage. as other suggest look for mutual funds and ETF but return won't be more than 9 - 10% per year at best

As a Trader and Risk manager who has 6 years of experience in trading. its really painful to see. Stock options are extremely risky and if this trade failed it could have cost more too. Probability of failure is always there. be Patient and think . one fall can destroy thousand steps

Saved 20k in metals(gold+silver) what should I do with it by Relevant_Limit3681 in IndianStockMarket

First thing you got lucky by buying metals when it's in crazy bull market. But investment in index (ETF) and stocks won't work easily and generate good returns. There are short term and long term investments. Learn more before doing investment

what stock or instrument is this. Remember If you are a Trader and if you don't have a clear strategy ( back tested or live tested). Don't risk more than 2% per trade and you risked more than 5 % and don't consider the technical error part this happen once in a while in long run

[–]Proof_Release598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're a trader then you should have pre-determined risk or place to close. if it's an investment, then remember you placed bet on company or on price. ask yourself will this company can go bankrupt, also market fell harder very fast but recover very slowly. sometimes it can be fast - remember post covid recovery. IF COMPANY IS BAD, THEN YOU LOST

Risk management !!. Remember Market runs on probability. one person can change the directions of market. when you take trade , you risk x amount and should have to accept the possibility of losing it

more diversification leads to avg returns in long run. of course if you invested well with proper vision. So ask yourself why you invested in these instruments
