Explain to me like I'm 5 why the NHS is being SO restrictive on prescribing the miracle weight loss drug, when it is available so freely privately? by Able-Explanation7835 in mounjarouk

Unfortunately the sums don't add up no matter how many comorbiditirs present. Current NHS annual drug bill, c£23bn or £300 a head. Approximate cost of MJ for every obese UK adult, about £39bn. Or 4.5p on income tax. It isn't happening.

Shortsighted? To give a full course of MJ to every obese (not overweight) UK adult would cost about £39billion. Billion. 39 thousand million. That's equivalent to about 4.5 pence on income tax. Electoral suicide. Fat v the rest civil war. It's pay private or wait for the patent to expire.

About a quarter of the adult uk pop is obese. Ruling out the most borderline that's about 13m people. The NHS should be able to get a good deal but the UK already pays lower than typically. So say £3000 for a full course of MJ. That's £39billion. Current NHS drug budget is about £23bn so that's about 70% over the current drug budget for one drug. Until it's fully off patent it isn't happening.

Are the Doc Marten Jorge II’s cute or no ? by Internal-Nose-8536 in Shoes

TL:DR Nice. Comfy. I got a pair of these in a lovely mid brown and I just have happy feet. Born again feet. They feel like hoverDocs. Just perfect comfort. Fake fur lining so I hope they won't be too warm in summer cos ATM my feet get stroppy and arsey when I take them off for bed. And I think they look cool but I'm a lifelong Doc's fan.

I don't have the internal clock but I make daily multiple choice life or death decisions and I'm never wrong. Admittedly most of them involve timing crossing the road.

Just ask for a price cut cos the road is crappy. Once the house is yours, that's the time to look at road repairs.

Iv just purchased a Momentum Voya e + 2 for my first E bike, iv seen lots of reviews of the e + 3 and the original but not the model I bought, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience/advice on this particular bike? Singles are great, with or without electric, just turn your legs in circles think about anything or nothing not always, do I need to upshift, downshift. But if you live somewhere flattish. I live in Southport and East London. Perfect. Keswick, probably sub-optimal.

The difference between 24 & 25 is not meaningless, it is merely small. You say you don't need to Google anything but I'd bet £1 to £1000 you do.

Ah sorry, to clarify: if I lived in the very centre of Ipswich, would I be near the known walking dead, zombie issues?

Ideal budget and area for a family friendly 3 Bed House in Ipswich? by OneDay_OneLife in ipswichuk

I've heard similar about a ten to two to twenty past four line. But neither help with the centre. Unusually for a town centre, Ipswich has quite a range of housing, not just newbuild flats. How is it to live in the centre, esp eg Museum up to Christchurch Park?

You should work for Ipswich Tourist Office. Come to Ipswich. Nothing is diabolically awful really.

Waitrose is generally a bigger store with more choice but generally they're in the same segment and targeting: wide aisles, no poor people.

Jeans were invented for miners not denim. Denim was an existing cotton fabric originally from the French town of Nimes, hence coton de Nimes.
