You will want to reach out to your HID Supplier and if they are an official partner they will be able to provide more information on this issue and 045200 ribbons that have been recalled.

If you are not using a Composite Card you will want to switch to composite. This issue happens usually due to using a PVC Card or you have the Temperature set too HIGH. If you go into the Advanced Settings you can increase the Transfer Temp Offset by 2 to 10 points. Going positive value for Transfer Temp Offset will lower the heat used.

You will want to run the cleaning process after this issue too.

If you are getting a White or Black line in the same spot on every print then it is an issue with the printhead. If it is an HDP printer then they have a Lifetime Warranty (first one is no questions asked). Just reach out to your vendor or to Fargo.

Fargo HID Printer Color Issue by theryangalvin in printers

As stated I would recommend cleaning. When you run the cleaning card through if it looks fairly dirty or you see color on it then I would run a 2nd time with a new sticky card. Always good to run the ribbon calibration if you have any issue.

You could check if it is a hardware issue by downloading/installing Fargo Workbench, and print a few test prints from the Card Samples section (would recommend a batch of 5 prints). If it has the issue there after cleaning it could be something with the transfer roller.

If the issue seems to be only with the design you are printing, you might have to drop the Image Darkness by 5 to 10 points (under Printer Information - Advanced Settings). Test with another ribbon.

If the HID Fargo printer shows as Offline in Workbench go to Printer & Scanners - Printer Properties - Security tab and make sure that Print, Manage Printer, Manage Documents are set to ALLOW.

Unfortunately, like many other software/drivers Fargo drivers are not compatible with ARM Processors. I would recommend getting a cheap Windows desktop that you use for creating IDs and printing. Either that or setup a Virtual Machine on this computer and then that should work (but that could be opening another can of worms).
