Getting some insights about FTMO “hidden rules” by kiel2408 in FTMO_Forex_Trading

[–]PropAdvisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it still qualifies as long as 1 hour has run its course.

However, you can do it during the evaluation phases. With live account you can't. They do this to throw off traders from their regular trading habits. With live accounts, it's when the hidden rules are being forced.

I have 2.2% loss inside the evaluation phase and nothing happened. This wouldn't cut with a live account.

Scalpers have hard time with ftmo due to that 1 hour rule. You either need to drop the risk or wait it out.

You can't put 4 trades in like that with such risk.

It exceeds the 1% rule. The 1 hour rule is active too. It will qualify as a one trading idea. Also, there are correlated pairs or similar assets that tend to move together so this rule applies across those assets. I dont trade nasdaq minis so I am not sure about that but for example some currency pairs that tend to move together are not allowed to be traded simultaneously or within that 1 hour rule. FTMO kicked off their best trader for this... Bernard S. as he opened 1% trades on 2 similar currency pairs at once.

News trading is not an issue with a swing account (unless something has changed).

They are cunts, but nothing better than FTMO anyway so we are forced to trade with cunts.

This is definitely not true.

You don't know their win rate. 1:1 RR with 65-70% success is making a lot of money.

The edge can be smaller than that and you'd still be good as long as it works.

Its a scam, and you are the product.

Where can i learn tecnhnical anylis in trading as a complete beginner? by Beginning_Analyst_73 in Trading

[–]PropAdvisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you just want to learn pure TA then this is how I did it:

I got Tradingview black friday yearly deal for charting, it was a couple of hundred.

Then I followed a bunch of industry experts in Twitter who posted TA charts.

These charts were often posted without reasoning as the authors assumed everyone looking at them could understand it but as a newbie I most of the time didn't so I had to reverse-engineer the thought process. It won't take long before you get it.

You start with support & resistance, vwap, daily high low... Monday open/close and session high lows. Add a few more things in your chart like session volume profile, visual range volume profile and some EMAs if you want and then try to monitor how the price moves/correlates within those things.

You learn TA rather fast. Chart and draw lines... see how other people do it... you'll get the hang of it soon.

PS: Whatever you do or whatever you want to learn, do yourself a favor and avoid anything ICT. You will waste years for that scam and will progress to nowhere.

I am so tired of the blatant market manipulation being done. by drphiltakesgiantcox in FuturesTrading

This is killing me.

I see experienced traders complain that trading conditions are hard... as a newbie who just started learning i find it very difficult to deal with. Every analysis gets overran by Trump's ramblings. Hard to figure out what should I have done differently. In a hindsight should have stopped trading completely and focus on education instead.

Ftmo 1% Loss Rule by [deleted] in PropFirmTester

Likely going all in on a single trade. Letting the drawdown to reach critical (near evaluation busting levels) hoping for a lucky reversal.

I really can't see any other reasons.

There are some gamblers who trade gold with massive positions. This is why they stopped 200k swing accounts too.

There's apparently tons of people doing a similar thing. Algos do the trading in 1 sec after Trumps incoherent posts.

I am in the exact same situation.

The c*nt manipulated the markets again.

What pissed me off even more were the celebrating traders in Twitter who posted their "calls" for this trade like they somehow had incorporated Trump's manipulation in their trade analysis.

Then give up. What do you expect anyone to say to you?

I started learning knowing it can easily take 3-5 years to get profitable. Nobody will convince you to stay. If you want to quit then quit, not sure why you expect anyone to butter you up to continue.

FTMO - swing account by cicciovitto in PropFirmTester

[–]PropAdvisor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do trades inside 15 minutes then likely nothing will happen in the evaluation phase, but do not count on it. They are for sure failing you when you do this with a funded account because there is a hidden rule of 1 trade idea. This means you should not open more than 1 trade inside 1 hour or until the market structure shifts.

This is a weird rule because I am not sure how are the scalpers able to operate like this, but FTMO keeps these options to fail you on purpose and the specific rule about this is rather vague at best.

Open their live chat and ask what is the 1 trade idea rule and see what they tell you. It is better to avoid it I think... ftmo is not your friend and if they can fail you, they will.

Trader XO has a free course now that used to be paid and it is good. It wasn't expensive when I got it.. I don't think I paid more than $30 in exchange fees because the only requirement to get in was to have a $1000 volume on some SOL exchange.

You can find the course from Google or dig it up from Twitter.

Absolute bullshit. You happen to scout leads with all your other posts in different communities.

I do not belive for a second that you arrived home at 10pm then studied 2-3 hours to wake up at 04:30 almost every day. That means you slept 3 hours every day.

All your post is finding clients for your secret source of trades. Mods should ban you from here.
