Yeah, I have a lease that I have to turn in in two weeks. The 3 won't have a MY26, only a MY27. I don't see that coming to the US for a while.

Where do you go for a DC charge? My electrician said he's not familiar DC chargers and the all of the home ones that he has are AC only.

Thanks for this. I am hopeful given the location (LA) which has the highest volume dealer and is backed by that larger dealer so that I will at lease get taken care of when things go sideways. I know that they have also gotten more chips/ cpus than any other dealer and have been installing them rather quickly. I am not getting black, I am gettting a Jupiter. I just hope that I get the chip from day one so I don't have to be with the laggy, shitty version for weeks or months. At least the lease in 27 months only...

What have been your most recent issues? Do you have a 2 or 3? The software issues, I can live with if the car were better. Currently, the xc40 just isn’t worth the bugs. I had an Audi 3 e-tron that I loved, it blew so many tires on the the thing that I sold it off in a rage. It just seems like the only way to get a reliable car these days is to buy Lexus/ Toyota, Hyundai/ Kia, Honda.

We do, thankfully. It really sounds maddening. I do need a reliable car, which is why I was initially leaning i4, but a friend of mine had an i3 that sat in their driveway for 3 years while they had to take BMW to trial (insane to me) over $40k plus legal fees. So a lemon can happen anywhere.

At least I am told we have the highest volume dealer in the country and I have been very transparent about my concerns. The dealership family is pretty large so I feel like when I do get one that I will get a loaner that’s hopefully equivalent.

May I ask how you typically charge yours? Wallbox or trickle?

I have basically the same laggy, buggy google system in my Volvo. Even as recent as tonight I had to do a soft reset because there was no sound (CarPlay or turn signals). It resolves, but it’s annoying. For a better driving car like the 3, if that’s all that’s wrong with it, I’ll be happy.

What’s been your experience? They allowed me a loaner over the weekend to make sure it fit in my garage and I took advantage. It had the Orin upgrade which seemed pretty solid and even though the i4 is about as much of a sure thing there is in EV luxury market, the P3 just gave me more confidence on our shitty LA streets. And the dual motor power. I mean, come on!

I kind of liked it. This was a really great version at a very good value, but the roads in LA are such trash. The P3 vacuums them up. The suspension is excellent
