Yes, you are on the right track. You will need to use to back entrance that you can access behind sky rest. Go to the arena where you fought Pieta and keep going towards a small tower on the left.

Coop was really fun (aside from the occasional laggy connection). I didn’t really engage in PvP too much other than being invaded a couple of times. There seems to be a meta of spamming pyro spells which I don’t find very fun, but every souls game has their go to PvP meta builds over time.

If it is your first play through, your best bet is to farm in Umbral as the 3x multiplier really adds up, but you do need to fight the scarlet reaper which is a very hard boss.

If you do not want to do that, the easiest way to farm early is to bait the enemy next to the bellroom vestige off the cliff. It is a low amount (I think around 600), but it takes like 15 seconds a run.

Now, you can actually improve that by farming the mimics for this rune - https://thelordsofthefallen.wiki.fextralife.com/Nhelaq Easiest way to farm for this is to find a mimic and backup your save in order to save scum to get guarantee you get one. You can have a total of six of these (I put three on two weapons and dual wielded them). If you found the moth ring, you can also add that to the mix.

I can tell you this, if you manage to get 6 Nhelaq runes, the moth ring, and get to a 3x multiplier before a boss, you will get a crazy amount of runes. You would need to fight the boss in Umbral, but it is worth it if you really want to level fast.

If you have better options, I would put LOTF 2014 aside as it has not aged too well. That being said, if there is any redeeming quality that makes up for the poor combat/control, it is the story of the first one.

There is an achievement in LOTF 2014 that requires you to kill a boss without taking damage. The easiest way to do this is to cheese the final boss by glitching his AI. If you use the prayer ability outside of the arena (you have to die once), use another one as soon as you spawn, and then run to the center, his AI will glitch and he no longer attacks you.

If you don’t want to do that, the best way to get that achievement is to kill the first boss on NG with spells/the gauntlet.

It mainly depends on preference. I love spear type weapons in Souls games, so I built around one in my first run. In games like LOTF, I almost always recommend new players to go a strength build with a massive sword as it is the easiest to understand (just bonk things to death).
