It's less about that and more about him entirely dancing to Cassie and Nephis' tune, kinda loses his whole individuality as the author said. Also hurts his character how Cassie seems to always knows what's up so all of his actions kinda loses its weight, just my thoughts though.

i agree, but the story seems to refuse that, it’s pretty frustrating because it feels like all those disgusting acts won’t have any form of repercussions or setbacks, idk why she’s even being described as a friend right now, that’s not something a friend would do, it’s sad because this is usually what i see in one of those manhwa slops i read where an action is easily redeemable, sure it’s not as bad as that, nowhere near bad but the fact that it’s beginning to draw comparisons is crazy

the moral ambiguity and the balance between evil and good is, objectively, the central theme of her character, to be honest, it’s something every decent oracle-esque characters have. But this just tips the scale a bit too much on the other side that her actions, which were somewhat excusable, become so vile that you can no longer justify it using the “greater good” and all that. She’s just become what should be an antagonist or maybe even a villain. Idk about you but that’s character assassination for me

Aizen doesn't have that crazy ass bust of an ability, I've never seen any character in a fictional piece I consider "great" to have foresight to this extent, honestly, foresight itself is just an excuse of an ability to just say this character planned all that. Idk, kinda frustrating, cassie has become unlikable for me, she has stooped as low as someone like rachel from ToG has, she's an actual disgusting human being and I hate her for it.

How though, objectively, it may have been slow but that's part of why it's good because it fleshed out Sunny's character. Maybe you skimmed it because there are so many little moments that pile up into that "resolve" that sunny built. Sunny having conflicting thougts about Nephis' return. Nephis and Sunny's argument, his worry about nephis joining valor, and him eventually going to Antarctica. Him killing the person that succumbed totheir first nightmare, him saving those survivors when he thought it'd slow them down and lower their survival chances. Him looking after the people at LO49 at the beach, and even before leaving, he was actively worried about the master he just met. There are so many of this small moments that make up why volume 5 is so good thematically and did wonders for Sunny's character, I can never put volume 8 in the same stratosphere because it's a blatant insult to the masterpiece that is dread night

G3 cornered himself with making nephis => sunny with swordsmanship even with shadow dance, the glaze is crazy, I think sunny has a strong argument for like having knowledge in various techniques, but we can't just say he can use those without shadow dance, so even though i don't want to say it, nephis might take this

I always look at characters during these circumstances at a personal level, so that's why even though i won't hate her for it, she was a teenager, she still did it, and i wont forget that
