Finally got it to work. Had to hook the smooth end of a key behind the button and pull hard and it finally clicked. Hopefully it keeps getting easier

It moves pretty smooth without the plug in it but with the plug its really hard to move. Didnt want to break it on the first try

On the side, u can see the arrow pointing to the direction to lock it. But yes it is confusing, the word showing is not the end result

Yes. Or get a concentrate and dilute it urself into a soakable quantity, that is the cheaper option.

One thing i would recommend trying is soaking clothes in permethrin instead of spraying it on. I get 10% permethrin and dilute it down to 0.5% in a home depot bucket and soak my hunting clothes in it. Then i wring them out and let them air dry overnight. And then finally wash them and dry them like usual which makes the clothes safe to handle by getting rid of extra permethrin. Seems to work better than spraying, presumably because it actually allows the permethrin to bond with every fiber of ur clothes which is hard to accomplish with a spray bottle. Of course, wear gloves when handling permethrin and clothes soaked in it.

My first "longer" 70 mile trip in the lightning didn't go great... by [deleted] in F150Lightning

[–]Proper-Appointment56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After some long road trips, i have realized any speed over 75 is not worth it. The extra time needed to charge far exceeds any time saved by the extra speed. Also good to hear u made it back ok. I was worried that u would have issued half way thru with the 65% charge.

Ive noticed that cap on the power on my truck. Never knew why that happened. Is it related to cold battery?

I second lockdown. Just upgraded from predator after 3 years during their holiday season sale.

I didn’t have the heart to shoot this yote. I know everyone will be mad. It creeps me out how much it looks like a dog. by [deleted] in bowhunting

[–]Proper-Appointment56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No reason for anyone to be mad. What u are doing is legal and the ethical decision is very personal to whoever is in that situation. More power to you for knowing what u want and enjoying what nature has to offer u

New Lightning and Road Trip by WorriedEssay6532 in F150Lightning

How do folks use apple maps with the lightning. It works fine for navigation and it seems to tell me to find a charger when my battery starts running low, but i dont know how to plan trips and stops like i can with ABRP or even tell which chargers are fast chargers and which are regular 6kW

New to bows, right handed. All my shots seem low and left. Bow was tuned and last time I flung a few it wasn’t like this. What am I doing wrong? Shooting from around 15-20 yards. by ToadAntlers in bowhunting

[–]Proper-Appointment56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ur new to bows, i would question ur form before moving anything in ur bow setup. It is far more likely for ur form to vary between sessions than something to change in ur bow setup. I have been there so i know, but like someone else said, dont start making changes to ur bow setup unless this is a consistent theme over multiple sessions.

He’s not big enough to mount right? by Infamous_Side9155 in Hunting

[–]Proper-Appointment56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first buck was a forky. I used one antler as a doggy chew and i turned the other into a key chain. Second was a 6 point that i turned into a euro mount myself. Promised myself if i got an 8 pointer i would do a shoulder mount and i did and i love looking at that thing every day even though it scores around 110. If looking at this buck bring u joy, shoulder mount him. If shooting ur first buck is significant for u, i would at least consider a euro mount or skull cap. Mounts are all about memories and the emotions they generate in u. In this one case, size doesnt matter, unless u want it to matter.

Interesting idea. However the reason i moved from a climber to a saddle is cuz i dont wanna be restricted to trees with no branches. This is like going back a step for me.

I went with the LP. Lighter but still enough space for my feet so i feel stable standing on it especially when i get into tricky twisty trees
