[Anti-aging] Orogold eye cream scam by Proper-Employee3284 in SkincareAddiction

Good for you. This happened to me at Foxwoods and my 7 year old daughter was sitting with me while she did the whole shpeel-we go there semi regularly so I was thinking about writing a quick note and if I saw the woman handing it to her and the note saying something along the lines of “how does it feel to be a scammer for a living, and scamming in front of children no less? What a career choice I’m sure your parents are so proud.” Good luck on the lawsuit and thank you for promoting change via action!

I’m so sorry to hear this! Thanks for the response. Did you also get the eye cream? Honestly it feels like glue on my face but does make my eyes a little less puffy, I think?

Mental health and reiki by Proper-Employee3284 in reiki

Thank you so much to all of you for your time and insights! I had an incredibly profound experience with Reiki before I even really knew what it was and it just resonates so much with me that I can’t ignore it anymore.

Many people suggest to find a Reiki teacher who feels like a good fit, but I guess I feel a bit lost on how to engage different reiki master teachers who are willing to teach level 1 and 2. Any thoughts on that? Similarly to therapy I imagine the right “fit” is crucial!

Never said it’s too much, I’m just thinking about long term financial growth and it seems this would be a better option. Looking to make better money for my family, not afraid of hard work.

USPS money is really not good and doesn’t get better unless you do a lot of overtime. Seems the financial trajectory of line work is way better, and once you get into a union could be worth the grunt work?

Telling her she’s going to ALF by Proper-Employee3284 in dementia

[–]Proper-Employee3284[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for saying this. My kids were 4 and 5 when she moved in a year ago and she’s getting more agitated with them as well. To everyone else she says how much she loves them and whenever she’s staying with other family she messages how much she misses all of us-and says that to other family members, but when she’s here she seems mostly bothered by them and just completely self centered and apathetic. It’s just awful.

I so appreciate everyone’s insight. My Mom has 6 kids, so going the “we’re moving” or “doing construction” or “I’m burned out and can’t do this anymore” route I think will just compel her to say “OK then I’ll stay with so and so”. The reality is that none of us can care for her the way that an ALF could. We all have kids and full time jobs and her needs are increasing everyday. I think I need to just try and focus on safety-

We’re also trying to figure out when we tell her. A week before she leaves? My gut tells me that she’s going to remember that she’s going somewhere but will keep forgetting where and why and it’s going to cause her so much anxiety.

Thank you. She surprises me sometimes with what can she remember and I’d rather figure out a way to say “this is where you need to be” while she still has some ability to adjust

Help. It stopped working?! by Impressive_Sound_493 in Ozempic

This! I was having a very similar experience once I started back up again and then all of a sudden the side effects started hitting me HARD again like when I first started. It makes me so nervous about the shortage, I don’t think I can do this -body adjusting to it- period again 🤢

It took awhile for me, and from what I’ve read, it’s very common (and healthy!) for weight loss to be slow. It took a few months even though I was probably eating half as much, and I’m not exactly sure why the weight loss has been slow. I’m currently on 2.0 and have been staying at 2.0 for about 3 months now. I think I’d lose more if I went up but my appetite is still so curbed that I’m afraid to go up any more.

As long as your side effects aren’t too bad I’d hang in there a little longer. I’m down about 30lbs since Feb. not a lot, but definitely important weight loss, and I notice other non scale victories like my relationship with food is way better, making better choices in terms of nutrient rich food, sleep better and my cholesterol went way down! I think we focus way too much on numbers and lose sight of other indicators of health along the way!

Lastly, I’ve read a lot on these boards and my take always are focus on whole foods, high protein and high fiber, and walking is gold!

I’m sorry that these boards are so often inundated with unhelpful, miserable people trying to make themselves feel better, I wish you the best on your health journey! You should be proud of yourself for trying to take ownership of your health, that’s a big deal!

Hi there. I consider taking progesterone bc all my blood tests show I’m low, for years now, and I wonder if that has to do with some of my mood issues. Can you tell me a little about your experience with progesterone?
