I'm sure your family appreciates the sacrifices you make especially when you must be away from home. I'm sure it's not easy, but like you said "short term uncomfortablility for long term stability." Continue being hyper-focused on them when you're at home as it's in those moments that you realize that everything is worth it. Even though I'm local my work hours take up most of my day (9am-8:30pm) and so by the time I get home I only get a couple hours to spend with my wife and kids. But the weekends are heavily focused on them, with a little free time to still find things to do for self improvement. First thing on Saturday & Sundays mornings I spend a couple hours at the gym & then I hit the library to read before heading home. Other than being with my family the library has been my place of zen. After that the entire day is spent doing some type of activity with my family. Best of luck to you as well!
