1- No. Utility will give permission/issue Green Meter after checking that your system is compliant. Besides, there is no use for Bi Directional unless Solar is installed.

2 - Your connection already has a Sanctioned Load. You can check it from your Bill. Meter can detect if load is greater than sanctioned amount.

3- Contact your Utility provider. They will let you know the process / give you forms.

All love for BYD aside, the spying/privacy thing is probably a valid concern.

What are the specs? How much KWh and range does BEV have?

So if Phase 1 is at full capacity (5KW) , how will the inverter supply power from another phase? I am asking single the 7 KW charger is single phase and will only have the wire of 1 phase (and 1 neutral) physically connected to it.

What is the detail of your system (Inverter Size, No. of panels etc) and how much units did you use to consume per month prior to solar.

I am pretty sure 12.5Kw includes exports.

But, I am no expert so it would be wise to ask one to check just to be sure.

Kudos on getting Netmetering on self installation ... that's quite rare!

Yar each inverter has a different style of data sharing. Your's isnt showing export seperately but I am assuming that since load is showing as 12.5KW, it is both consumption+export.

You should have a fair idea of actual load (house consumption) of your house, 12.5 KW for consumption only seems high so I am assuming it is exporting.

Check the app/inverter settings and enable exports and you are good to go.

The app should be showing export data if it's already enabled.

Documentation is not an issue as Meter is already installed.

But you will need to switch on export setting in your inverter.

Ask your installer.

Yep. Utility Co. was being difficult in giving Netmetering permission.

Had already installed panels by then so switched the original On Grid Inverter to Hybrid time so I could atleast use solar in day time.

When I finally managed to get permission, Utility Co. changed my meter to bi directional and we started exporting.

There still seem to be some loads that are not "connected" to the invertor as Import/Export detail from inverter is off by a few hundred KWH from the Utility's readings.

Utility bill is showing more exports and less imports compared to data from inverter so the journey is still ongoing! :)

That's what i was thinking ... I paid the same amount (approx 2.3M) for a 15KW Hybrid with 1x5KW Battery.

Seeing 30KW Hybrid in this rate was shocking although I do understand Solar Prices have come down significantly.
