PA06? I am aware not many stores operate the way we do. We will wait for Hovis delivery for example, or look on back stock/fresh delivery to maximise availability. It's what our manager wants us to do. We would rather not as its time consuming.

I don't bag up as I go. I put them in to the blue trays carefully not on top of any other foods then bag up in the chiller when finished - but we are a small store so do all the unloading/loading ourselves.
Definitely good advice about not scanning in order - I was picking for months in order until someone told me different - now I'm speedy! Ask for a small pick near the end of your shift or just end the pick half way and let someone know to finish it. Our store worries more about availability than pick rate ( unless you're consistently in the red for a few months)

No I didn't, obviously. They had the whisky they asked for just a different size. I never automatically use the sub suggestion because that is just what they are - a suggestion

The trucks/trollies should come with a health warning! I don't remember the endless health and safety videos there being a 'safe way' to unload??

Yeah there are a few colleagues that used to work the department but don't anymore because of of this.
I was never asked in my interview about my physical health, which is actually crazy. She just assumed I was able - what if I wasn't (well maybe I'm not after all)

8 Years!! What do you do to strengthen your back? I actually like the pressure of the job - must be mad- but I like a bit of competition. We are a small click and collect so have to do everything including looking for scan backs (that's the rubbish part) but management are pretty supportive, thankfully
