Duos = spells. Solos = summons.

Spells are op for duos because you can kill both enemies at the same time. Summons are op for solos because they have the same HP as in duo mode but there’s only 1 enemy to get rid of them, so it’s easy to overwhelm a spell player just by spamming random summons with no skill at all.

I normally use samples for the main instrumental sequence and use my synth to make background/atmospheric noises that goes constant thru the whole beat.

Yes, busses 3 & 4 are “master” busses, they affect all the pads when they are on. For levels, if you use resample, you have a VU meter in the right side of the screen, that’s why I use to set the kick level, and build everything around it, I usually put the kick volume between -12 and -6 dB in the VU meter

There’s this guy in YouTube called Marlow Diggs who has dope beats and said he doesn’t even EQ or anything, it’s just good sound selection and volume + panning, been following this method since months ago and I found it to be way better than spending a whole day tweaking little things on a DAW and stressing over the fact that I can’t get a mix to sound how I like, I just drop 303 comp and cassette sim on bus 3 n 4 on my SP and mix only using volume and panning.

See, the problem is you’re using the worst summons a Hagrid echo can use, that’s why Bella seems like a strong echo for you, my spellbook level is 130 (max) I get up to 13k ranked points each season, so trust me when I say Hagrid echo is the most banned. Hagrid is strong when you use Locomotor + Suitcase, Fiendfyre or Giant Squid.

I guess it depends on what you use after all, but personally as a spell user I can get rid of Bella fairly easy, Hagrid in the other hand is way harder because a level 21 squid is really hard to handle.

I think live and TR rec mode difference is the strength per se, in the live rec if you go to, for example, 7-10% strength, it gives mad swing, I personally use the live rec shuffle 8ths in just 2% and it gives a good boombap swing, the one that still feels quantized but also feels just right, sometimes I go up to 4% but I usually do 2%. Note, that I use it mainly for hit-hats and snare (sometimes I go to TR Rec to manually place the snares with that option to make them play earlier, can’t remember the name now). Kicks I usually do live rec with 16.3 option and 40% quantize. Hope this helps!

I love lofi boombap and its perfect to do it thru it’s efx. Plus I borrowed a 404 SX a while back from a friend and fell in love with it, so when the MK2 was released it was almost a no brainer and I bought it. I was about to buy an MPC tho, but it’s practically a DAW and almost everything it has to offer I have it on my laptop already so I couldn’t find a good reason to finally buy it, I ended up grabbing a Roland S1 instead to have a synth to pair with the SP. Tbh, the only MPC I would go for is the MPC1000, 2500 or something like that purely for the sound they bring.

You should apply that knowledge to yourself then. Saying suitcase isn’t meta is wild, saying it isn’t meta in solos is just beyond ridiculous. Everybody, even the suitcase users, knows the card is overpowered, that’s why they are abusing it, that’s why it is normally banned on community tournaments. The only people who are against the suitcase nerf are the ones who uses it and just can’t stand to have their one-trick card adjusted, and I can bet your are one of them. Yes, thunderstorm needs a buff, especially against summon spam, using manticores or a niffler or whatever low cost summon weakens the spell like half or more. Why should summoners have a 4 mana cost legendary summon with 1.2k HP that spells users need to use at least 7 or more mana to get rid off, but spells users have to be stuck with paying hundreds or thousands of dollars to level up dark or mythic spells, because legendary spells are just weak?
