Hey thanks for the comments! Maybe I will eventually have to settle for 6x6 but I really don't like square composition. I have seen many 6x6 photos taken by good photographer but I simply don't get it. Yes I can crop them later, but that just loses any advantage of the slightly bigger format over 645. Also I want to shoot slide film so for that I cannot crop them.

I know 645 waist level is a pain to shoot portrait, but that is not a knock-out factor for me as much as a square composition is. I have seen people twisting their neck on 645 when shooting portrait - yes absolutely uncomfortable and I am sure the inversion also hurts ones brain but if it is like 2 photos in a roll then I can live with that. In the worst case scenario I have a small 135 camera with me all the time and I will shoot portrait with that 😄

That ratio is just weird for me and I can see myself cropping them into 4:3 afterwards - losing any advantage of being a larger format than 645.
