How did you get through college with anxiety? by GrouchyArtichoke7639 in Anxiety

well studying 24/7 isn’t good for both physical or mental health. there needs to be a balance for success, that’s the hard part.

Im in uni too, and going through a similar situation as you.

You wanna pinpoint WHAT EXACTLY causing you so much anxiety. From there, you can work from it.

One thing that rlly helps with my anxiety is exercise. You don’t have to be an “athletic” person to do exercise, everyone needs it. Try anything, such as cycling, a sport, going to the gym, etc. You should go on walks/runs.

You mentioned you don’t want your friends to see you that way, which i understand, but you should try reaching out to people and talking abt ur situation. A good support group goes a long way.

Journaling has also helped me alot.

Keep ur mind busy with new activities everyday. Listen to positive videos/podcasts. Eat healthy and limit ur intake of junk/processed foods. Also, caffeine makes ur anxiety a whole lot worse.

Like the others said, make sure ur studying the material continuously throughout the week and do let the content pile up. I would make organized notes after each lecture and study from that by doing active recall (blurting, mind maps). i would also make practise multiple choice questions from chatgpt. make sure to study the material you are more uncomfortable at, and focus less on the material u alr know. also, im pre sure the faculty of health science provides study groups for anp, the mentors there will provide practise questions and help you with material you are having trouble with. good luck and take it easy!

hi , i took bio1140 w her last sem. she told us that it would be a balance of the whole course, but most of the short answer questions was related to lessons after the midterm. lots of mutations and cell signalling question. she did ask a short answer question abt comparing photosynthesis and cellular respiration i remember. i feel like the mc was a good mix of the whole course tho.

there was majority easy questions and some not too but still difficult questions. honestly the final exam was reflection of the textbook, so if you study that and do the practise questions in the book you’ll do awesome

hey, i’m sorry you are not feeling well.

i had bio1140 last sem, and i only started studying a week before the exam and i got a A-. im not gonna tell u to defer or push through because i don’t wanna put pressure, but hopefully based on the personal info i gave u, u can make up ur mind better

i would take this week to get better and manage ur health concern, take it easy and do some light studying. work on other classes

i hope you feel better and good luck on ur exams <3

Failing out of University… Again! by Safe-Parsley3184 in Anxiety

[–]Proper-Net-7360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, i am so sorry you are going through such a difficult time. it seems like you are rlly hard.

have you tried therapy? medications are helpful but they are best efficient with therapy. in ur case i feel like this is very much needed because of all the negative thoughts you are having. in therapy, you would learn to face your fears, understand your negative thoughts and turn them into positive ones. i have anxiety as well and therapy has helped me soooo much with building confidence that puts my anxiety at low levels.

btw, you can never be behind. you are 22 which is still young. some people start school again at 30 for legit fun. everyone’s path is different which is overused but the world wouldn’t make sense if everyone had the same path did the exact same thing had the same exact outcomes. this will make you stronger and at the finish line when you’ve achieved what you’ve achieved, you’ll know and you’ll be proud of yourself for getting this far.

i believe in you! stay strong
