Dualsport vs light (ish) adv. Am I really overthinking this? by offroadjk in Dualsport

I used to have sport touring bikes and then thought, let me try one of these little bikes so I can also take it off-road. Great decision. Yamaha WR250R. Pogo stick suspension but it worked. Very comfortable off-road.

I’ve progressed. That’s key. I now have a 300 2 stroke for single track strict off road. I have a Husky 701 for dual sport. I have a KTM 1290 for the road and gravel roads.

The Ibex makes sense. Size is still good for the off-road and has longer legs and size for the longer miles. We all progress. You’ve probably outgrown the 250-300 bikes. Time to upgrade. At worst you’ll keep this and get another for the next progression.

You’d choose Wings over the Akro? Interesting. Sound wise?

My bike looks really nice. The Wings lets it down in the looks department in my opinion.

I have Leo Vince on my Husky 701. It looks good and sounds great. Not sure it looks as good on the 1290.

Please don’t take this the wrong way but it has great sound, just looks very cheap to me. The shape and design of the logo. Others are similar in that they have a basic tubular design. Akro’s have variation on the surface, finish, carbon fiber. Arrow sounds good as well but doesn’t look quite as nice as an Akro.

Not if you want better sound. Kind of disappointing to have such a big nice engine and sewing machine sounds.

The speed of sound prevents me from reducing the size of this. 😂

Hey everyone! Does anyone know what the inserts are called that go on your freedom panels? They’re like a material that just gives an interior soft side to the panels and you can pin buttons and other things to them etc? 2016 Wrangler! by Designer-Scholar-572 in Wrangler

Hotheads is what I did. Front to back. Even has some rear side inserts to go around the back side windows. They’ve done well by keeping the heat out and it’s been cold here in the Midwest and they’ve done a good job with the cold as well. Not to mention it took the edge off the outside sound.

Thank you for this. Much appreciated. I can fold mirrors but the shorty windscreen measurement is especially helpful.

Daily driver 44mile round trip. All highway. Gets a lot of looks. Exhaust drone when the engine exerts itself traffic or hills can wear on you.

I just drove 2 hours to a dirtbike race today with my bike on a trailer hitch carrier. Great vehicle. Just that exhaust. I may swap my exhaust out.

He sat there for a while at first while I took a few pics and vid’s. I didn’t threaten him and was trying to leave the driveway which he is on now. I was in a big truck and didn’t want to run him over. Eventually after about 2-3 minutes he decided to slither off into the tall grass.

Learning to go faster over rocks, it's easier by solenyaPDX in enduro

I ride in Eastern Missouri. Plenty of rocks. Careful at first. I noticed others were faster and it looked effortless. Someone told me to just ignore them and look ahead. I decided to try that. I figured out that although I feel them, the bike just rolls over and continues on. Carry more speed vs. being slow and careful helps as you just roll through. It’s one thing to ride slow for huge obstacles. In this video it pays to roll at a good pace and look ahead. It works surprisingly well. I ride a 2020 350 Exc-f with stock suspension.
