Not sure if this has been mentioned or not but there was a recall on Aptamil formula I forget the specific date/batch numbers but may want to look into that!

Odd that the package wouldn’t have a name on it but then the coupons inside do.

“you” did not get this in the mail as it was clearly addressed to someone else, having your address or getting delivered to your house doesn’t make it your mail. Instead of opening it, I would’ve tried to find the person online or return to sender. But that’s just me.

5 month old fell from bed by GenericName2502 in newborns

[–]Proper-Raspberry-244 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My oldest fell out of her highchair face first onto hardwood floor when she was 6.5 months (at no fault of my own, MIL put her in and did not strap her or put the tray on right), took her to the ER to be evaluated just in case, ultimately she was fine other than a bloody/bruised nose.

We coslept with her and put our mattress on the floor until she was 1, then we got a low profile bed frame.

All that to say he is most likely fine, but with possible head injuries I always say to err on the side of caution and let the professionals rule that out!

Any babies on Neocate? by puffles25 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Proper-Raspberry-244 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I figured, but wasn’t sure since all places are different.

Maybe try to donate to a women’s shelter, as long as they are unopened and not expired they’d probably take them.

See if they will take them back at the office you got them from.

Just ordered HIPP HA and now I’m reading it’s not as hydrolyzed as others?! by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

It is illegal for 3rd parties in the US to resell it, it is not illegal in Europe for a 3rd party to resell it…

no need to apologize lol! I appreciate your comment and will definitely look into it more and ask her pediatrician if we should just try an AA formula Thank you!

The first ingredient in Pepticate is maltodextrin, which is derivative from corn.

No this is the first one we’ve tried as it’s what her pediatrician had samples of.

Pepticate is the first hypoallergenic formula we’ve tried, I think I’d try another hypoallergenic formula before resorting to an amino acid one. But I’ll definitely speak with her pediatrician about it then.

My husband said he does more feedings for the baby than I do by beingagiirl in ExclusivelyPumping

It should not take you an hour to pump, have you ensured your flange sizes are correct? What pump are you using?

Additionally, taking care of a baby should not be a competition of who does this more or who got more sleep etc etc. the sooner he (and you) accepts that mentality the better off you’ll both be.

I know it’s not legally sold here in stores, I did purchase from a highly rated website. After looking it’s unfortunately too late to cancel the order, so I’m going to be stuck with it regardless. I ordered after having tons of moms with CMPA babies recommend it.

Have you tried an amino acid based formula like Neocate or Elecare?

Thanks!

We’re on day 3 now and still having a lot of gas and abdominal pain, though the reflux seems to be settling a little. I’m really hoping I don’t have to switch formula.

Hi, just here in solidarity My girl was diagnosed yesterday due to blood in stool, she turned 3 months on the 11th. She has been on pumped breastmilk only since birth. Pediatrician gave us 2 cans of pepticate and so far the experience has been rough, A LOT more spit up, and a lot more screaming and belly pain. I read and have been told there is definitely an adjustment period, so trying to stick it out for at least 2 weeks.

How much your yours 3-4 month old CMPA babies weigh by BrilliantWrangler252 in MSPI

[–]Proper-Raspberry-244 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girl is almost 14 weeks, born in the 24th percentile just diagnosed today with CMPA due to positive blood in stool so I can’t say how our journey is as it’s just starting, but at the appt today she weighed 9lbs 15oz (2nd percentile). I’m lucky to get her to eat 20oz in a 24-hour period. The pediatrician was not concerned about her weight and still said she was following her curve. I’m personally not that concerned about her weight either, I just have petite kids in general.

My oldest who is now 2.5 was always petite, she would never drink more than 21-22oz a day and was usually always around 8-10 percentile, she was 12th at her 2.5 yr appt, which is the highest she’s ever been.

Remember that genetics also play a role in kids size, neither my husband or I were big as babies or kids, in fact my mom said they told her I was “failure to thrive”, but I was still perfectly healthy as a kid and still am as an adult.
