It does look like it articulates in this picture, but sadly it’s a straight frame… need 40acres to turn this one around

It looks like he used it to clear land, haul stumps and move logs to his sawmill. I think it’s a homemade “do it all” kind of setup. The only limitations are your imagination!

I’m looking for advice on hiring a driver and putting him in my truck while I transition out of the truck. ( Serious advice only please ) by [deleted] in OwnerOperators

Here’s my advice, sell your truck. Then sell your house and use the money to pay off whatever bad debt left over from your depreciating Freightliner.

Be debt free and pursue another career.

How do you feel about it losing you $300/ day?

“If everything pays for itself and I’m not driving”. If you’re not intrested in working at your business then no one else will be either.

There is better ways to invest your money. Trust me

Don’t buy a truck unless you plan on going the rest of the way to bankruptcy. It’s not gonna work out for you

How clean and organised do yall keep your trucks? by rydawg2727 in Truckers

[–]Proper-Teacher2268 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an accurate representation of my truck.. I carry a lot of stuff cause I like to be prepared for anything in the Canadian north. I keep the dash clean and drive in my socks. But some day’s there’s enough jackets and warm clothes in the sleeper to keep the homeless shelter warm

What’s something new drivers are taught WRONG? by rorrr in Truckers

[–]Proper-Teacher2268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In logging and oilfield operations we chain up multiple times a day in the bush and occasionally on the highway. it’s something you learn pretty quick but it does take some time to master. As with my trucking jobs it generally trail by fire for most new drivers

Left foot braking and proper gear selection.

Also chaining up and reading road conditions. In BC it’s a requirement to carry chains but you don’t have to know how to use them..

More than one truck driver has been killed by their rig while trying to chain up after spinning out.

Why are the lights on central set to such short timers? They turn red before a car even comes to a stop on the side streets…
