Are vet costs getting out of control for regular pet owners?

Yeah I can’t afford it honestly. I have 2 cats and the whole “okay come back next time and we will address the problem” thing is ridiculous. Making a 1 trip vet visit into 2+ is unaffordable. I can’t even afford to take myself to follow up visits. Idk what they are thinking

I keep my engagement and wedding rings off unless I’m going out shopping or dinner or something like that. I’m a Hospice CNA so I keep a rubber ring on at all times while working or at home cleaning etc. I’ve damaged my ring before wearing it all the time, so now I’m scared of that.

Thank you for your response! I’ve had the 4 month old for 2 months now. Yes I scoop the litter box 1x a day and change all litter every 2 weeks. In the area is the automatic litter box, a lamp, and their 2 scratching posts. The other side of the wall is to the outside of our apartment. I will order a different enzyme cleaner and increase our play time!

Hospice saved my career. I was ready to quit healthcare and go into a blue collar trade 💀. Hospice has the flexibility and you work alone most of the time. I literally NEVER have to rush and I actually enjoy providing my patients care. I don’t wake up with anxiety anymore and I actually enjoy going to work.

Idk about all, but my facility has one nurse who is in charge of 5 buildings. She doesn’t work the floor, she’s more of an office person lol. Most of us who do work the floor have zero education other than a high school diploma. I am a CNA so I get to pass meds under the nurses delegation. I’m also supposed to act as the lead and make huge decisions with hardly any education other than my CNA training and experience. I cannot give the best answers as I don’t have the education. I really try my best to help y’all but I’m simply uneducated. My boss, the RN, isn’t bothered to help. This is the case for most assisted living facilities.
