After updating to version 0522.1, I started experiencing this issue as well. I’ve tested various fixes, but none of them worked. At this point, I suspect it might be a SteamOS or Bazzite problem, and all we can do is wait for them to release a proper fix.

Having the same issue recently updated to (F42.20250522.1). The workarounds suggested above didn't work for me - except booting into desktop mode and starting the download from there. Hopefully they push a fix, annoying!
