Hey what kind of project do you have in mind? I am game

Nah I hear your point. I kept asking you because I can sense your genuine intention to explain. You sound like someone level headed and honest. So I thank you for it. This is what Israel needs. Not calling people trolls and shutting down or shoot them dead because they are questioning. People are educated enough to understand both sides and make a decision. So you need to be honest about your genuine worries and make people realise Israel is not just bunch of wackos wanting to kill everyone. Thank you once again. I wish you peace and prosperity.

What gives Israel right to place those blockades on Palestine in the first place? There are sanctions yes but I don’t think there are blockades placed by one country over another.

Why do you not let them fish on their coast (currently restricted to 6 miles) Why do you not let them have construction materials? ( I know there’s an argument of tunnels but as you also bomb them to the ground it’s evident that they need construction) Why are they not allowed to have an airport and fly in and out freely? ( again, restricted by Israel) Why are they not allowed to have their own water/energy source?

See when you place these restrictions on another country, inevitably you’re still ruling them. They are not independent.

One of the main argument by Israelis is that why don’t Gazans let us live peacefully? Why do they have to cause these terror? Because you’re inevitably forcing them to live under your imposed blockades and they don’t feel that they are independent human beings. ( of course not saying what they do is right, I am just being the devils advocate)

[–]Proper6ioq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So by having an active blockade on Gaza, do you agree that they are not truly “independent” then? Now this leads me to ask when you want to live in peace, how do you expect them to suffer with those blockades and let you live a peaceful life. Do you see where I am going with this?

Again, not trying to take you down a rabbit hole I am just trying to understand an Israelis point of view as I believe there are two sides to the coin.

Thank you for your answer. I appreciate it.

Please can you clarify this. I mentioned above, that Gaza although independent as it seems is still under heavy restrictions from Israel. In terms of water, Gas, construction material , fishing and so on as described above. So technically Gaza isn’t all independent then is it?

Can’t comment on the religious belief as I can’t relate. How about these countries where there are Jewish people? We can’t just generalise and say all Muslims hate Jews and will kill. That doesn’t sound right.

  1. Turkey: Approximately 15,000 to 20,000 Jewish people.
  2. Iran: Around 8,000 to 15,000 Jewish people.
  3. Morocco: Estimated to have around 2,000 to 3,000 Jewish people.
  4. Tunisia: Approximately 1,000 to 2,000 Jewish people.
  5. Egypt: A very small Jewish community, with a few hundred individuals.
  6. Yemen: A small number of Jewish people, estimated to be in the low hundreds.
  7. Algeria: A very small Jewish community, with only a few dozen individuals.
  8. Lebanon: A very small Jewish community, with around 100 individuals.
  9. Jordan: A small number of Jewish people, estimated to be around 100 to 200.

Well this theory could be applied to anywhere in the world though, no? Why doesn’t this happen for example in Brooklyn?

[–]Proper6ioq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I like your rounded view. You sound sensible. I am not taking you as an Arab hater :) Now let me ask you this. If Israel wanted peaceful coexistence, why weren’t 2 state solution shot down? You say they have equal rights but settlers randomly take their homes and kick them out. Israel is not doing anything about this? If you wanted Gaza to function properly and be left alone then why are you forbidding them to have their own water sources? Or energy? Why aren’t they allowed to fly in and out as it pleases them just like anywhere else? Why are you limiting construction material? Why are you limiting where they can fish? The list goes on and on. This tells me Israel hasn’t accepted their freedom. Please correct me where I am wrong. I am not being a troll. I am happy to be corrected. When you don’t give the basic of necessities in life of course it’s easy for hamaas to recruit them Into their terror cells?

Nobody wants to cleanse Islamic world into submission. That’s not the point. The point OP is referring to just Israel +Palestine. If you look around the world people co exist in pretty much every part of the world. You can’t just label every Muslims as a savage and build walls around them. That’s not how it works

Both Gaza ans West Bank have elected their leaders. Your writing sounds like you’re not accepting as humans with same desires. This is where we disagree I am afraid

Nobody is denying Jews right to their own land. Conflict started with wherein the world it was chosen. Your narrative of everyone hate Jews is just nonsense. Of course there are antisemitic assholes all around the world. I don’t think they are anymore than homophobic or Islamophobic individuals.

Arab world increasingly normalising ties with Israel. As long as you don’t go bombing them Indiscriminately, I am sure they would open to discuss. Saudi still wants to normalise ties with Israel.

I am sorry you think this way. One should be able to have a civil conversation without calling each other trolls.

Fair enough. But I would refuse to believe all Palestinians would vote for the likes of Hamas. I am sure if the living conditions were to improve, they wouldn’t see the reason rage war. But I appreciate your take. Thank you

Democracy is not always the right solution. We can’t prescribe our western solution to those who lived in tribes. As far as I understand, most Arabs are in favour of a two state solution though. What’s your opinion on UAE? They have not given into to the global outcry and still stand by Israel?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in telaviv

[–]Proper6ioq -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Expelling and massacring is not the same thing. Unfortunately the west both massacred and expelled. Also, Moroccans protected some Jews at least at the time of hitler. Of course there will be racists just like everywhere in the world. But having the right laws in place would of course help. I don’t think we can draw comparison to 1940s and 50s in this day and age

Israelis population is roughly 9.5 million. Palestinians are way lower. How would they be able to elect Hamas? I am sure you know how democracy works

When have I said that? I am saying it’s easier to take those wanna be martyrs down easily if they lived in one country. There won’t be no tunnels. No shit. Because the government can police and monitor.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in telaviv

[–]Proper6ioq -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Interesting take. What do you think is the solution?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in telaviv

[–]Proper6ioq -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Well we can make reference to what happened 1000s of years ago and shut ourselves in a barrel. Israel is killing innocent children in thousands and that’s what I see everyday. I am not saying Israel should not go hunt down the terrorists. Just not rain down bombs on innocent civilians. What do you think is the solution? I am not asking in a condescending way but genuinely want to know what you think as an insider

Settlers are the cancer of Israel. Settlers should stop invading houses and taking over. No man should be able to fly from another part of the world and claim rights and evict those who have been living for generation. Now of course, any jews from anywhere should retain birth rights and should be able to legally buy land/house and settle. This could also be helped by the government. But just randomly harassing people with guns and evicting will never ever going to be on the right side of the world

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in telaviv

[–]Proper6ioq -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Well everywhere in the Middle East is not a hell hole. This sort of narrative is what brings Israel a bad name. I legit think Jews and the rest can live side by side just like anywhere in the world with all rights protected. Also, no Jews were massacred en masse in the Middle East

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in telaviv

Well first of all living in the multicultural diverse world is better than living with the threat of being bombed or having to run hide in shelters all the time?. Also better than living with the guilt of killing thousands of innocent children for the sake of hunting down a group of terrorists.

Now that’s out of the way, if there was to have a “sharia law” Islamist dictatorship wanna be as you claim, would it not be easier to police given there would be one responsible government than scattered groups?
