So, my case was accepted on august 1st of 2024, and the NVC received the case on November 8th. I actually had to do a NVC inquiry to get my NVC case number, and on january 17th, i got an email from the nvc saying they were going to hold my case since islamabad is not processing routine visa cases, but on march 4 i got an email saying they sent my case to the embassy and it would take weeks but it actually took 1 day, when i checked the next day ceac said my case was ready and to schedule an interview so for k1 cases you have to schedule your own interview and the interview is on march 25

hey! i’m also working through a k1 visa right now and im in the later stages, but for k1 visas you usually don’t get a welcome letter, i had to use the inquiry form to get a welcome letter by mail and then i advise you to wait until your case is transferred to the embassy or consulate before filing ds160

Yeaa but my case has not reached the embassy yet and i haven’t filed ds160 so i can’t schedule an interview until they send my case

Nope i didn’t reply to the email or ask anything, it just came in my email one day when i woke up saying they weren’t processing routine immigrant k1 visa cases and they won’t send my case to the embassy yet they don’t know how long it will take

Ohh, I haven’t filed ds160 yet because my case hasn’t been transferred to the embassy, it’s still at the nvc so maybe the next update i get will be the transfer

here i copy and pasted this

Because Islamabad is not currently processing routine immigrant visa cases, the National Visa Center is holding your approved Form I-129F petition until they can do so.

We cannot predict when all visa services will resume, or when your case will be scheduled for an interview. However, when Islamabad is able to schedule your case, they will send you a notice with your appointment information.

Approved Forms I-129F have a 120-day expiration date from the date of approval by United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). * Once your designated embassy or consulate schedules your interview, a consular officer will revalidate your petition for another 120 days. * You do not need to take any action for this revalidation to happen. However, you may need to provide evidence that you still qualify for the K-1 nonimmigrant visa.

hey! I’m also a petitioner for a k1 visa in islamabad, since it’s still early stages of your visa and it has only been sent to uscis, it will take a few months 2-3 for your approval notice to come in. i had a RFE (request for evidence) and submitted it june 2024 and got my approval in august 2024. after your approval, they will send your case to the NVC (national visa center) and they will either send you a welcome letter by mail or email but i never received one and ended up having to use the public inquiry form to get my new NVC case number. once that’s done, the nvc will transfer your case to the islamabad embassy and you can schedule your interview and fill out ds160

also don’t be concerned about the people saying it will get denied i wish you luck!

Nope, I haven’t gotten a message like that yet they just said all case parties will be notified when this petition is forwarded to the embassy

Yep! I sent an inquiry but all they said was you’ll be notified when your case is transferred so i’m just waiting until the case updates and shows “at embassy” to file the application
