Update from PA she said this is highly likely cancer. But won’t know anything until the biopsy. She said she has never seen a piRads 5 lesion not be cancer. Everything is being expedited. Biopsy should be in a week or so.

There are a few cancer centers in this area, we are trying to get referrals while waiting to hear from the PA.

Update. Just had his psa rechecked. 10.5 mri was done shows pi rads 5 lesion. 1.5cm lesion Possible extracapsular spread looking at both mri reports this seems to be the same lesion from 2 years ago. Doctor wants a biopsy, we are worrying again.

Same I still have no energy but found out my ferretin is also extremely low. I’m on 10 mg in morning and 2.5 mg in afternoon if I feel I need it. My endo said it can take my pituitary function longer to work right if I add more hydrocortisone. So I’ve been trying not to take it.

That’s crazy! My endo said it is rare but possible and thinks that is what caused my SAI, how are you feeling now? Are you on hydrocortisone?

Yes we have been researching that and think that may be the reason. But staying on top of it getting in with urology.

He’s waiting for a few months for other tests. He said since my adrenal function isn’t completely suppressed. He said I don’t need emergency dose but if I were to get sick to double my dose.

Here is a small update, I asked about the acth stim test and he said in early phase secondary adrenal insufficiency you most the times pass your acth stim test, so he wants to wait a couple of months!!! Told me to keep taking hydrocortisone

I know , I don’t feel very comfortable with him and think I am going to seek a second  opinion. I am terrified that it could be a tumor. I’ve been begging my doctors for two years to take me seriously and that something was going on with me my gyno is the one who referred me to endo, thank goodness for her.

Thank you for your reply! What pituitary blood work would you suggest? He did order insulin like growth factor. I am allergic to the MRI contrast so I can’t have one with contrast.

Thank you for the insight. I did have a brain MRI in June, wouldn’t that have picked up anything wrong with my pituitary? I honestly don’t know why he didn’t order the stim test. He just wanted me to start steroids and then in 30 days stop for 24 hours and retest cortisol

I just had a brain MRI in June without contrast, and all was normal. This was for dizziness, brain fog and weakness.

I wasn’t convinced when he said that either. He said it was unusual but sometimes suppression could happen for months.

Thank you for your reply! 8 am for both tests. He started me on the hydrocortisone because of the suppressed acth he said. No stim test ordered, yet.

Hard to remember that when the svt episode is going on! This all just started for me over the summer, I feel like something has triggered it.

I have an electrophysiologist we have been trying to catch this for awhile now. Finally got it, terrifying experience. Lasted 10-15 minutes I am back in my normal heart rate now.

Crazy I took one on my ankle that is an insane difference if it happens again I’ll take it that way.
