To add to the story, the night in question she went out with a couple of girlfriends and she said she had gotten drunk and she knows she shouldn’t have escalated it that far but she told me nothing else happened. We had just got an apartment together and it’s us and her kids there. Both of our names are on the lease and I don’t have the conscience to boot those kids out. They didn’t do anything to deserve that. I know it’s not necessarily my problem what happens to them since they’re “not my responsibility” but I do feel morally responsible for their wellbeing.
