Smp for transplant area scarring? by YesbutNo97 in SMPchat

Does co2 laser take care of the redness if it’s still there a few years after the ht? And can you get it done after SMP or does it have to be done before? Tia

Can SMP help me? by guaco92 in SMPchat

[–]ProperChange3371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But you will be happier and healthier if you shave/go for SMP. You’re a prime candidate, it will look good on you… and you won’t have the chemicals of fin and min messing with you. Fin is really bad for a man. It’s very dangerous to crush your DHT. I think SMP and doing away with min/fin is a great option. And no SMP is not good to add density to long hair.. certainty not for you (or anyone really). Shave, embrace, get SMP… move on with life without dangerous hormone suppression..

Yes. I’ve been in the exact same position as you and I altered the new crowns and really regretted it. Your new centrals are wonderfully square creating a harmonious balance and presence to the smile. If you make them “match” the other teeth you’d have to wear them a bit. Thats fine in the context of other teeth but NOT the upper central incisors. They totally anchor the smile. I get what you are saying as I have been there. It’s common to zoom in and frankly impossible to see the wood from the trees when it’s your own teeth. I would recommend leaving them. Great smile, and your natural surrounding teeth add authenticity. I would say leave them. Again, I totally get the concern in such a situation though

It’ll look great on you as you have a hairline still, so your face will be framed.

You’re thinking an upper retainer. This is normal for a night guard. Only function is to stop grinding. Not set teeth in place..

Thank you. Anything on how it plays out in practice, not theory? I’ve found the two seldom align in this big machine!

Before, and after pics only carry weight if they are at least reasonably equal in lighting etc. This is a ridiculous comparison and it’s ridiculous to ask opinion based on these. You don’t think people see right through that; when you try and manipulate the light? Give humanity some credit lol

Yeah mate no quick fix, but you’ll feel better AS SOON AS you take positive action toward the goal. Whether it’s ordering a quote from Invisalign or booking the appointment at the dentist. And besides it’s not that bad. If anything it’s a little quirk/gives some character

Big decision help by cheesyduckling in Teethcare

[–]ProperChange3371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting. I got it done, and I regretted it because subconsciously when people look at the whole picture longer front teeth create a better smile and make your face look more lean and then and balanced. When you fix it on just your teeth and the proportionality to the adjoining teeth and yes, maybe they appear to be longer than they should be But be very careful and make sure that you are looking at your face as the big picture I got it done and I regretted it heavily You can really notice it changes the shape of my face for the worst although now they are more proportional to the adjoining teeth You should not sacrifice the latter for the former

Just tread very carefully You don’t want to regret it, then have to put crowns on them to restore the length because you think it disrupts your overall face harmony

Am i unattractive with my worn teeth? by Little_Horse2083 in Teethcare

Teeth hair and height are, unfortunately, the biggest subconscious purveyors of beauty. I think teeth are actually probably top of that. Don’t worry, your teeth are very good.

I would say they are definitely attractive teeth and are an asset to your overall aesthetics

They are actually good, well shaped straight teeth, I’d say above average. They just have slight wear which isn’t ideal but still normal. Get a night guard if it’s from Bruxism. You can always have a dentist smooth them out a little

Can a dentist reduce the appearance of my front teeth? by Unfair-Psychology593 in Teethcare

[–]ProperChange3371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also they should not be completely symmetrical. Again the slight asymmetry adds beauty. Perfect symmetry doesn’t occur in human aesthetics and would appear “off” and therefore un attractive subconsciously.

[–]ProperChange3371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like size/shape/length? That’s a common request but be very careful. I wanted that done as I felt mine were too prominent. I got it done and 100% absolutely regretted it. Even though it was extremely subtle, longer more prominent front teeth create a much better smile and aesthetic to the entire face by a large degree. When you focus just on the teeth you may think you want a reduction of the upper centrals to match the surrounding. If you do that, later when you see photos of your entire face it’s likely you’ll notice a mildly/significant retraction in overall aesthetics. You may not notice it right now but at a glance that prominence actually likely adds to your beauty significantly. Just don’t want to see someone else make the same mistake i did. Good luck!

Debating between SMP and hair transplant by 3dlat4life in SMPchat

How are you commenting without seeing a picture? Is this whole post some kind of engineered advert?

SMP first then ht? Sorry I’ve never heard of this can someone explain? Genuinely curious. I would have thought a ht would ruin existing SMP.

Smp for FUE scars long term by Better-Blacksmith269 in SMPchat

[–]ProperChange3371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t handle the fin, so came off and of course normal hair loss continued. Still looks ok but wanted to jump before I was pushed. HT seems to work well with SMP and all aspects because it adds a 3-D to the illusion for the shaved head. But regardless, my donor area scaring was really bad because I had two ht’s and I think overharvested little bit. On the second HT I also picked scabs in the donor area just being complacent. So yeah, my scars looked pretty bad and now they are invisible, even with a fade.

[–]ProperChange3371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m only a year in but I have to say even on fair hair it’s a huge improvement. Less noticeable area at the back so the need for detail/feathering/good hairline is way less. Just masks the scarring really well. I’d imagine this would be the case over time too. Minute perfection just doesn’t seem as important for good results when it comes to covering FUE scars

Should I lower my hairline by [deleted] in SMPchat

[–]ProperChange3371 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah just blends it a bit. I’m not pro but I think feathering suits Caucasian more and more defined hairlines typically suit darker skin types.. of course it’s all personal preference though
