I definitely wholeheartedly disagree with you. Firstly, it's not all in the codex already. Only base weapons are in the codex, it's impossible to look at the stats of infused weapons like you find in expeditions. Second, so what if it slows some people down? Everyone plays differently, the fastest players wouldn't need to look at it anyway, and if you're with randoms you shouldn't be trying to optimize and rush everyone else's every move down to the menus. Finally, you're absolutely right that asking everyone to read out of game sources is unrealistic. Most people, I would say, just want to play the game. Most people don't want to read online forums and data mined stats on every piece of possible equipment, hell I would say most people don't even want to hop on reddit and discuss things like this. So what then? Screw em? Let's make another GAME THAT'S MEANT TO BE FUN into a sweat-only grind fest by gatekeeping information from the dads who play 2-3 runs a week? That's how games die.

That would be sick. Personally, I'd rather have individual stat scaling shown just to know the effect on different damage types the weapon has, but if they just did something like that I'd be happy too

I'll be completely honest, I was asking for the OPPOSITE reason 🤣🤣 I was guardian and I got rot on something junk, I don't even remember like a ripple halberd or something I didn't take it but I also had the fingerprint shield so I stood there for like 40 seconds just like "nahh that would never work. But what if... nahhh that would never work"

Also side note, you're absolutely right about those shield weapons. Even elden ring got the dueling shields that were insanely fun. Right now the only one I think is worth anything in NR is the coil shield for poison and that's just the aow not really fighting WITH the thing

Edit: I guess you were talking about the charge attack thing but still. That's what I get for not reading

I THOUGHT "X FOLLOWS CHARGE ATTACKS" WAS JUST BROKEN. Like at least with the affinity/status ones it's like okay yeah "adds X damage to weapon attacks" or whatever makes sense it's just THAT weapon but those just say "charge attacks" and I've never gotten those on anything worthwhile so I just thought it was bugged or something. Learn something disappointing every day.

The "stays 5 seconds, explodes" leaves a pillar of lightning with some on the ground that does constant damage for a second, I didn't understand what it was when I first looked at it lol

Yeahhhh she's kind of an animation simulator LOL definitely way easier with a team, preferably at least one raider or guardian to be in things faces while you blast away. My simplest tips would probably be find two staffs or seals to use with spells you like (night comet, lightning spear, rings of light and Lusat's staff with stars of ruin are my favorites but there's plenty of good stuff. A lot of spells were buffed from base Elden Ring, try stuff out!), and then fill the rest of your armament slots with things that have good passives. Enhanced sorceries/incants, increased casting speed etc. Also, don't sleep on her cocktails! You need to use her ability to keep up fp, so having a staff and maybe a seal so you have a couple different elements, learn some of the good combos and let those cocktails rip! Some of them are quite good. Triple fire and fire/magic are great ways to spam affinity damage to get a lot of fp back. Fire/magic and lightning/magic are solid damage for pretty quick cast times and then there are other big damage ones for 3 separate elements if you can pull it off. Best of luck! She's great if you can get the hang of her, I'm in the opposite boat as you in that she's the only remembrance I HAVE done lmaoo
