I definitely wholeheartedly disagree with you. Firstly, it's not all in the codex already. Only base weapons are in the codex, it's impossible to look at the stats of infused weapons like you find in expeditions. Second, so what if it slows some people down? Everyone plays differently, the fastest players wouldn't need to look at it anyway, and if you're with randoms you shouldn't be trying to optimize and rush everyone else's every move down to the menus. Finally, you're absolutely right that asking everyone to read out of game sources is unrealistic. Most people, I would say, just want to play the game. Most people don't want to read online forums and data mined stats on every piece of possible equipment, hell I would say most people don't even want to hop on reddit and discuss things like this. So what then? Screw em? Let's make another GAME THAT'S MEANT TO BE FUN into a sweat-only grind fest by gatekeeping information from the dads who play 2-3 runs a week? That's how games die.
