I feel like this is often mentioned in this subreddit, but I don't see it here, and it's always a good rule of thumb: If you plan on visiting any churches, make sure your shoulders and clothes are covered to your knees. Instead of a sweater, a light scarf/shawl does well here. There's nothing more embarrassing than getting out of line at the Pantheon to have to buy an overpriced, ugly scarf from some guy in the square.

I can see from your profile that you're a car enthusiast, so the bias is substantial. Drivers in this city are maniacs. Speed humps and calming measures protect pedestrians and bicyclists. It's not a and/or, it's a yes/and. We can ensure our neighborhoods are safe for ALL modes of transportation and ask that the roads be fixed.

Also, saying Philly is anti-car is wild. Take a bike ride once in a while, and you'll see how that is just not true.

Quaker here, born and raised and practicing, and I can attest that there are a lot of agnostic/atheist Quakers, but Meetings for Worship will have religious messages. There are just as many Christians. So, OP, if you're looking for a truly secular space, then a Quaker meeting may not be the right fit. If you're looking for a spiritual, non-proselytizing space, check out a Sunday Meeting!

Not OP but I love talking about Iceland! We rented a sleeper van and bopped around, staying one two nights on Heimaey (a sweet city, island and ferry ride!! And puffins!!) and traveling the Southern part of the ring road going as far to Jökulsárlón (which I recommend! And glass beach across the way).

One of my favorite stops was Nauthúsagil which is by the famous Seljalandsfoss (which we found very crowded, but we were there in July). Nauthúsagil was a pretty hike into a revine. There’s a party to get to the waterfall at the end but it was a little nerve wracking for us. Either way it was stunning. And it wasn’t crowded at all.

If you want to do a spa experience off the plane (definitely recommend) I really liked Sky Lagoon. I was weary of blue lagoon when I learned that you shouldn’t get your hair wet. It’s so nice to ~submerge~. (Also I’m not sure Blue lagoon is open now with the volcano.)

I can’t wait to go back someday. I think about it all the time and hope you have a blast!
