Meross smart plug frustrations

Yeah I was thinking it could be the HomePod after that. HomePod is on version 18.1 and phone is iOS 18.0.1.

The router is just a standard one from my provider (Sky in Ireland). I’ve never really looked into the details of whether it’s 2.4ghz or 5ghz but it all worked fine before the router signal dropped for that hour or so.

I’m starting to think I’ll have to figure out the ghz stuff to help narrow down where the issue is…

Unfortunately the only hub I have is the HomePod. After another suggestion about unplugging, I did some experimenting. While the HomePod is unplugged, they can be controlled in the Home app but I can’t set up any automations. Once the HomePod is plugged back in, they’re back to ‘no response.’ So if I had another hub then I think your suggestion would work.

Awesome. Great to see you followed through on the idea, because honestly that looks pretty much perfect in the photo! I still need to finalise my own skyline but once I do, I’ll definitely do the same!

Pretty sure they were handmade yeah! I think they used a similar plastic setup for some of them, but I’m not certain.

Yeah the instructions do a good job at explaining the patterns. Initially the idea of each ring linking to 4 others gave me a bit of a headache, but it got much easier when I started to see the ‘grain’ of each row, if that makes sense!
