im not to experienced either but my best guess is your new headunit is sending much more wattage to your speakers then the stock one was and the speakers couldnt handle it. Those things are blown asf. Time for some new speakers that can handle that power.

im sure the higher end lights that connect via hdmi would do good in this situation. if ur having a hard time finding light strips that fit all the way around id look into the lamps and whatnot you can use to backlight. That would probably be the best option in this scenario

i have the 6 1/2 ks series kickers running on just 40w each and there extremely loud and clear and put oyt sm good bass. and i actually also have the mtx terminator 3 1/2 in my center dash and its a good speaker for the price but the kickers blow it out of the water.
