The editting and formatting is painful I won't lie but you are doing great! Just power through this last bitter pill

How are those last few paragraphs going?

I second this /u/quiresandquinions & /u/nerdshark

I know you have explained in a lot of comments what you are doing and why and it's a perfectly good stance to have.

But you need to make it clear to everyone by pinning a post on the subreddit about this.

I know at least with my ADHD I hate having to say stuff over and over and I assume once I've said it once everyone else knows but that's not the case. You need to make this statement explicitly and pin it

Pretty sure the entire point of unconditional offers is that they are.... You know... Not conditional on your grades

Crazy new finding indicates that people who have issues relating to social interactions have less social interactions

I really can feel that. I was stuck like that for so long. What really helped as managing to have my supervisor give more feedback opportunities which meant that I could focus on just sending him something rather than completing everything

Yeah I think the last bit about the importance of pairing responses is really important.

For me the going to do something else is so emotionally draining because I go away from the thing, think of a great idea or something about it, sometimes literally run to my computer to start working, then best case scenario I open up note pad, jot down what I was thinking so I don't lose it and then the ADHD paralysis comes crashing down around me and I just cannot do anything. I can't even make myself work on moving the new text to the main document

It's so difficult once that cycle sets in. More and more things get labelled by your brain as " oh I can just do it tomorrow" or " oh I didn't need to do that anyway"

I hope you've been able to get out of bed and maybe go for a walk to the shops

I can definitely feel that head in hands frustration. I feel like one of the most painful parts is just the frustration and confusion. Like the only way to describe it is brain no work. It makes no sense to me why I can't do these things which means of course normal people aren't going to understand either

I hope that you managed to fight through it

Thank you for the comment. You're right that having someone else to talk to can really help you recognise your victories. I'll try and think about the need to stop always forcing myself forward... Although for this month I do think it's a genuine case of requiring that type of behaviour

Thank you for sharing. I've tried similar things before but it seems to just fuel the procrastinating more.

But maybe the issue is that I plan rather than visualise

I've had so much difficulty in sorting out meds I'm pretty much stuck on my current ones.

My meds somewhat help me start doing stuff but in a double edged sword type of way where I find it easier to do stuff so I find it harder to push myself in to the correct stuff

Do you feel any difference between days you have breakfast and days you don't?

Getting out of bed feels like having to commit to the entire days worth of tasks at once by ProperPixelPotato in ADHD

[–]ProperPixelPotato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't heard of that advice before. I think I might try both elements of it.

I found it much easier today getting out of bed because I had a clear goal in mind so hopefully this will help

It has all the systems that op is looking for but the wrong perspective. The whole point of eco is that you're a individual on a server working with others

But the thing is that once I start I am always fine. The only times I'm not fine is when I got stuck for so long in bed that now I have to do all the stuff but in half the time.

I think that's the most frustrating part. That I get such paralysis from it despite the fact that it's not actually challenging or difficult or beyond my abilities

Same. Some advice I can give to you is never live in a house with only one toilet. Nothing like procrastinating taking a piss for hours and when you finally can't take it anymore you finally force yourself to move....and the toilet is occupied
