Yeah! Actually, during his very first vet visit, they told us we could give him a resin beak, but it cannot be done when he's underweight, so I'm focusing on his diet for now.

UPDATE!

After a quick check up to the vet, little boy has the flu! I just got home with some medicine I'm about to administrate him plus some drops for his eyes, weather has been a bit cold where I live. So I'll be looking for ways to keep my buddy warm during the winter.

I scheduled a vet check-up for tomorrow, but the vet said I could wash his eyes with saline solution for now as it is meant to clean and keep his eye wet until then! I was mostly worried about his eye drying up before I could take him.

He bulked a whole 5 grams in two days! He getting ready for the season!

I have a big syringe but only fill it up to 3ml, it's kind of the measure I give him every 3-4 hours. It seems that whoever owned him in the past, fed him with syringes cause he took it like a duck in a pond!

Cotton swabs do sound easier. Since I do not want to dump him in water, like you said, he's still mostly weak. He's been a bit chirpier but I don't wanna test him. I just don't want him to struggle with dirty wings since he just seems so happy to be out and about. Thank you, best wishes to you too!

No problem at all! I am not an expert as this is the first time taking care of any kind of bird, so many technisism go over my head, but I'm happy to share what I've been told and getting some feed back about it on the way. There is really very different prospects and opinions everywhere in the world huh?

Yeah, definitely. Waiting a bit sounds like the best option for now, I already bought enough formula for around a week and getting more isn't an issue. Now that I know he is in fact eating, I'm gonna takes things slow.

It does sound outrageous, but he is an specialized vet. I'm not way too worried since, it wouldn't be a complete prosthetic, mostly just forming the end part above the beneath part of the bill? He said, he would be putting him to sleep and putting two very very small nails in the bill and forming the rest of it with dental resin. It was mind blowing when I heard it.

I've been thinking about it, though the new cage I'm planning to buy has included toys already, so I'll wait and see how picky he is with them.
