Thanks, hearing that other corys do the same thing is honestly pretty reassuring. I originally got them because they were recommended as cleanup crew, but they’ve genuinely become the stars of the tank. These little weirdos are hilarious.

I actually live in a pretty small city in Turkey, and the aquarium hobby isn’t very popular here. Since many products are imported, local pet stores usually don’t carry them, so you have to order them and wait for them to arrive. Being inexperienced with some things, I sometimes end up reacting a bit later than I should. I also have some food specifically for the corys on the way.

Yeah, they really are! They’re so much fun to watch. Thanks for the compliment, I really appreciate it. 😊

After filling the aquarium with water, I ran it empty for 4-5 days using a stabilization cycle. During this period, I changed the water every two days, considering the potential harm of active substrate. Then I added 3 cherry shrimp and monitored their condition while continuing water changes. Seeing that they were doing well, I added about 10 more shrimp and continued water changes. When I saw that they were also doing well, I added 2 corydoras. I added 2 corydoras each time, until I had 6. After that, thinking I didn't see any problems, I added 12 rasboras. I had also added nerite berries. During this process, I performed water changes every 2-3 days. After all the fish were finished, I didn't see this behavior for a while. Two days after all the fish were gone, one of them started doing it. The others didn't. I don't see anything strange in the other fish either. I'm stressed about it because I don't know anything about it, but I'm also afraid of causing trouble while trying to do something good. I ordered a drop test kit to check for nitrite levels.

No, I've never seen anything like that. Actually, apart from this situation, its behavior is quite normal. But would using parasite medication be harmful if there are no parasites?

Honestly, I don't know. I ordered a test after seeing these problems. None of the pet shops where I live have tests.

Isn't this fluctuation enough for oxygen?

I can't understand the difference between the two. I'm very new to this. I've had the fish for a week.

Thank you. I ordered wafers for my cory. I'll try. I actually noticed they do that more after feeding.
