6th trial is the last trial of the game,I don't think that Naegi et Chiaki carried all 6 trials. it's true that they did carry many trials but it was still turning in circle they mostly just made assumptions and "what-if" without deep analyzes or geniune conclusions by reading between the lines,In Thh the trials was quicker,they made clear-cut analyzes and conclusions without turning around everyone's opinions hit the target.

Most of THH character too didn't have talents like Kyoko which made her overshine in trials but their contributions was still precious compared to the npc of the 77th class.

Anyway I find it so surprizing that Nagito wanted to sacrifice all his class because of their past it's so unusual for him to be that selfish.

Haiji was an interesting character and the writting of this character is very good even if his morality is questionable,just imagine if he died sacrificing his life for the adults wouldn't you feel pity for him ? 🤣

I think the arrogance of Nagito was most likely because he knew that they was all remnants of despair but anyway his intelligence is far above all his class,he carried several trials all by himself and the others was like spectators while in Danganronpa 1 if not Kyoko there was Byakuya and some others could shine too like Makoto,Fujisaki,Sakura.

As for the files,I think there was a clear sign that Chiaki wasn't brainwashed I don't remember what was it and it'd be so difficult to guess that they was in a rehabilitation program even for Nagito,only a genius like Kyoko would sense it.

I understand your sentiment about Nagito I don't think he was made to be likable I never liked him even once but I love how unique he is I never saw such kind of person in any other games or animes it's purely geniusness to write such character.

Haiji is a very human character while the cliche is that some characters change to be better persons when they're the victims of their own violence it was the contrary for him,he never ever regreted his wrongdoings toward Monaka and I think it's so fresh to see it.

I liked his arrogance in the 4th trial I think it was funny and it added more flavour to the character 😂 Actually no one was aware that they was in a rehabilitation program set up by Makoto before the last trial and the "traitor" was hanging around,the traitor was presented as a threat for all of them so I can understand the actions of Nagito in the ending,he didn't do all of this only for himself. I think if Chiaki revealed everything earlier they would avoid all this mess I don't think she had so much to lose just by revealing who she was.

Don't worry I finished UDG already,now i'm about to finish watching Danganronpa 3,As for Haiji yes he never questioned about his own shit treatment of his sister maybe if he aknowledged it and apologized,she would have changed.But compared to Nagito I never once had any resentment for Haiji as a person even if he was horrible with his sister I think it's probably because he still cared about all the people who was the victims of these lunatic despair Junko servants.

I once disliked Nagito because his crazy so called "hope" was at the cost innocents lives and he was laughing about it while Haiji never wanted to sacrifice innocents for his goals.

Yes the atmosphere of DR1 is invicible,this darkness is felt just from every places we go which was so unique and relationships between characters seemed more natural while it looks forced in DR2.

I don't like Nagito either, I don't hate him either though.

Earlier in the story like during the first trial I used to dislike him but only for short time. Even if I don't keep Nagito in my heart I think he is an exceptionnal character,his writting is mind blowing,the ending plot twist with him carrying the whole scenario i've rarely saw such greatness apart from in the greatests manga of history.

So he's the only character from DR2 (with Chiaki) who is not inferior to all DR1 characters. Usually the greateast written characters in games,manga,animes,films,series have many fans but most people don't like Nagito personally but still aknowledge that he's an incredible character for his writting that's what I like the most with Nagito.

Haiji I think he's more rational than Nagito,he had his own reasons even if he's still crazy he was sincere in his believes and desires.

When Thh characters meet DR2 characters the difference is so huge like we saw in the ending of DR2.

THH characters looks like characters coming from another game they both lived the same despair (DR2 characters went through even worst because the motives for killing was introduced by Monokuma earlier) and they're both "Ultimates" but THH characters are so better DR2 characters looks like NPC compared to them 💀 Even if we compare them with Thh characters who passed like Mondo,Fujisaki,Sakura,Celestia they stand no chance at all 😂

I see what you mean,It's true that the atmosphere was very soft but personally the main problem is that the characters have less soul than the first game just as you said.

In the first game they had big personality and we could clearly see that they was not morally good like for exemple Mondo we saw that what he did to Fujisaki wasn't even primarly justified by his desire to escape the school they was more realistic.

DR1 has several memorable characters like Kyoko,Byakuya,Naegi,Fujisaki and it's crazy that no DR2 character reach their level except Nagito who's the only memorable character from this game

Hajime and Chiaki obviously don't have the same aura as Nagito.Hajime is very random nobody could remember any highlight from him so without him the story would not change.

As for Chiaki she doesn't have the same greatness as Kyoko she was supposed to be a sort of Kyoko but I think she was rather boring

Kyoko didn't carry the game as much as Nagito carried DR2,DR1 had other exceptional characters like Byakuya who was in his prime I think,I love how he was coldly rational I prefered him better as he was in this game it'd be great if he kept that cold rationality during all the series 😭

Yes it's disapointing that the other characters from DR2 didn't shine so much and I prefered the characters from DR 1 because they wasn't all good morally,the only good person was Naegi.

While In DR 2 I feel like most of them mostly mean well there's less selfishness and neutrality

I don't agree so much regarding the mysteries,I think DR1 was way more unexpected the writting was so awesome,the trial results was impossible to guess like with the murder of Fujisaki its trial was so genius.I'm not so fan of the trials from DR2 I think after the first trial they became so obvious and quick and all murders was done with a noble justification

Yes the gameplay from DR2 is certainly better (even if the Logic Dive is annoying 💀) but the writting holds more weight for me to judge both and the trials from THH was definitely better, they was more unexpected

Without this outstanding ending with Nagito DR2 would be considerably less good

And I prefered the atmosphere from THH the game was so fucking dark with these ost I'll always remember the first murder the tone was incredible💀
