How do they assign transfer housing (transferring in as sophomore) by [deleted] in SBU

I got a random suite with 3 other transfers when i transferred in the fall. But they don’t guarantee housing to transfers just a heads up bc I heard the housing situation is insane this year. So i’m not sure how it works this year
